Avery's POV
"Hey Avery..." Tyler trailed off, looking surprised to see me.
He stood there staring at me for a while. I could hear Delilah holding back laughter behind me.
"Umm, earth to Tyler Joseph." I joked.
His eyes widened and he looked a little bit startled, "Oh! Sorry about that, umm, so how did you like the game?"
I giggled, "It was great and so were you with the winning shot."
"Oh, yeah. I heard you shout that nickname you gave me when we were like eight."
"I figured if you're allowed to use mine, I can use yours." I smiled.
"OK, Avenue."
"Whatever, T. J."
Josh was laughing too.
There was a bit of an awkward silence until Tyler asked, "So Nick is throwing an after party, since we won, so I was wondering if you and your friends wanted to come?"
"I'm down." I turned to my friends, "What about you guys?"
"I have to finish an art project so I won't be able to make it." Myah said not shocking anyone.
"I'll come." Delilah perked up.
I didn't even need to hear Josh say he was coming since I already knew the answer was yes.
"OK, well Nick was gonna take m-" Tyler started to say when a car pulled out if the school parking lot, "Nevermind, can I ride with you?"
"Yeah, sure."
I started to unlock the car and get in.
"Wait, you have a Maserati?" He exclaimed.
"Well, technically it's my parents..."
He slid into the back with Josh, "Who cares! This is sick!"
I started the car and First Date by Blink 182 started blasting through the speakers.
"Aw, yeah!" Josh shouted and Delilah just rolled her eyes.
"Let's go!
Don't wait!
This nights almost over!
Honest!
Let's make!
This night last forever!"
Tyler and Josh both sang at the top of their lungs while I hummed it softly.
When the song changed to Drops of Jupiter everyone stopped singing.
"Wow, I didn't know pretty boy liked that kind of music." Josh jeered.
Tyler frowned and looked away.
"I mean seriousl-"
"That's enough Josh." I cut in.
Josh looked over at Tyler and looked surprised when he saw how mad he was.
"Oh, umm, sorry man. I was just joking around."
Tyler turned to look at him and an awkward silence followed.
