Watching the streetlights shine over me as we passed them didn't phase me at all. I had been arrested a time or nine before and everytime it was on some stupidity on the police's part. I turned my head to look inside the car, only to find the officer driving staring at me thru the rearview mirror. My pride was dying to call him out but thinking about the time before last that I got arrested made me stop.

That was the time when I supposedly got arrested for jay-walking and ended up being handcuffed only to be felt up and left three blocks from where they picked me up. The officer smiled at me and I turned my head back to the window.

Once we got to the precinct, they waited for a moment to get me out of the car. I knew they were trying to get me fired up but I wouldn't give it to them right now. I was actually burned out and sleepy. After ten minutes, literally, of sitting there, they opened the door for me to step out. The night air was so crisp, the smell of it was only making me more sleepy. They walked me up the steps and once we got inside, they cuffed me to the bench that I was all too familiar with. You would think by it being nearly three in the morning now that there wouldn't be too much going on inside this building but it was just like a club.

You had your hookers in one corner lying about how they weren't hooking tonight, they were just talking with their girls, the thugged out chicks who were tatted from head to toe yelling like a buffed out dude saying how much the police wouldn't be able to hold them, and finally you had the innocent crew. Everyone from DUI's to theft to drug addicts. Those types of people never admitted to anything. Anytime you seen one of them, they were yelling 'I'm innocent, I'm innocent'.

The black officer signed me in, and I couldn't help but to say something about it. "Looks like the got their n!gger doin do-work. U cleanin their shoes and lickin their asses too Sam-bo." He looked at me and smiled and continued to sign me in. His fellow pigs must have told him not to worry about me. Once he was done, he walked right over to me and tightened the already skin tight cuff on my wrist. "Damn shawty, that shit hurt. It's tight enuff." He smiled again and walked down the hall.

As I looked next to me I saw a payphone. As I reached for it, it seemed to make the cuff even tighter almost cutting off my circulation. "SH!T!" As soon as I screamed that out, another girl sitting on the bench looked at me like she had a problem. "U got bi'ness over here ho'?" She rolled her eyes at me and I did the same. I knew she knew better than to say anything to me.

After another try of reaching for the phone again, a familiar female officer walked out of her office to see me. "Beyonce? Beyonce Knowles?" I let out a sigh because I already knew this was leading to another lecture.

This was the only female officer on this floor of the precinct and she seemed to really care about the young ladies that rolled in and out of here. She should've really been a counselor. Everything that she always said to me sounded like the things counselors would tell you in school. As her heels echoed towards me, I sat back on the bench and waited. She pulled a key from her waistline and bent down to uncuff me. But as soon as she knelt down to do so, one of the pigs that arrested me stopped her.

"Excuse me? What are u doin?"

"Uncuffing her. I need to talk to her."

"Well ya'll homegirls can catch up later, she's about to move in a cell." I could tell by the look on her face that she was holding back. I knew she was tougher than that. The black dude that was with the officers laughed like someone was doing stand-up comedy. The female officer smiled at me and walked over to the group of men. I turned my head away because I was pretty sure she would go over telling them how not to embarrass her like that and blush but before I could turn my head fast enough to see what was happening, the female officer had her gun pulled out on the back of the male officer and she was daring him to talk to her like that again. I did the same laugh the black officer did as he cut his eyes towards me. They stared one another down like they weren't all pigs and she came back to uncuff me.
