*Chapter Six* – The Kiss
*The Next Day*
“I don’t know.” I admitted to Jay as he stood against the wall observing me.
“No go on Damian, tell me your great plan… How you are even going to find the damn guy because all you are going to do is generate attention”
I shook my head “Look okay, I will find a way to do this without any attention.”
Please just stay here for an hour. Do not let her leave okay.”
He sighed but nodded “Don’t do anything stupid”
I grabbed my leather jacket “Define stupid?”
He called out something, but I had closed the front door before I was able to hear it.
I only know one person that may have some information about who did this.
I knocked on the door, the door opened; I smiled at Jacob before shoving him inside the house then closed the door behind me.
“A pleasure, as always Damian” He greeted me as I backed away from him.
“I need some information” I told him.
He smiled smugly “From me? Whatever could that be?” I gritted my teeth and shook my head “Don’t act dumb. You know what happened don’t you? Tell me who the guy did it is.”
Jacob stood there trying to find the appropriate words “I heard talk that it was going to happen, that is why I wanted to meet her before.”
“You son of a bitch” I growled and grabbed him by his shirt “You tell me who the guy is!”
“It isn’t just a guy Damian” He replied, he looked down at my hands. I pulled them down letting his shirt breath.
“Who is it then?”
“It is one of the reasons why you were hired to protect her. It is Tony’s past coming back for him…” he told me “That is all I know.”
I edged slightly closer with anger in my eyes; he put his hands up “That is all I know.”
“His name” I growled “I want this guy’s name”
He shook his head; I grabbed him by his shirt again, this time pushing him up against the wall.
“Name!” I ordered.
“Graham, his name is Graham Alan” He told me “That is all I know, I swear”
I let him go and without another word left.
“Nice to see you again” He called out to me before I slammed the door shut behind me.
I took my phone out and called up an old friend.
“Can you do me a favour? Give me all information on Graham Alan”
“Yeah sure” He replied. “I will call you with all the information”
“Thanks Roland, I appreciate this”
“Guess it helps having a friend as a cop ey” he replied.
I took a deep breath “I guess it does”
A friend who is a cop and asks no questions when it comes to situations like this, it’s more than perfect.
