Chapter nineteen- A Chat With Queen Ivory

"Umm... That was kind of rude" said Artica. The three dragons were staring at the hole in the sea, where the Coralfin had just disappeared.

"Do you think we'd be able to make it if we dove into the hole?" Asked Marble.

"NO!" Yelled Scorch and Artica simultaneously.

"That's right, I forgot you guys hate water" sighed Marble. But how were they supposed to talk the the Queen of hey couldn't get to her?

"We could just wait until another Coralfin comes up. They would have to eventually, then we could ask for the queen again" suggested Scorch.

"But that could be a while!" Argued Marble.

"Then I guess we will have to wait" said Artica. She and Scorch sat down, determined to wait. Marble sighed again.

Just then, ten blurry grey dots appeared in the distance. Even from where they were sitting, Marble could tell that they were Stonewings.

"Hide! Stonewings!" Warned Marble. They were heading strait at them. The three dragons dove behind the rocky spire they were perched on. There was only room for two to hide, so Marble jumped into the ocean. She poked her head out so she could see what was happening, and to breath of course.

The ten Stonewings were each as big as Scorch, and they circled over top of the Coral Kingdom.

"Do you think they came to steal the Coralfins' treasure?" Whispered Marble.

"I don't know. But it looks like it. They even have the same bags as they did when I saw them steal our treasure" Scorch whispered back. That meant that they probably were the treasure stealers, and now they'd come to steal more treasure, and blame it on the Timewings! Marble couldn't let this happen.

"We have to warn them! I'm going to go, even if you guys don't" she said firmly.

"Marble, wait-" started Scorch. But she had already plunged into the ocean hole.

She kicked her legs and swished her tail, using her wings to push her downwards. The tunnel went in forever, and Marble began to run out of breath. She started to panic, she didn't know how far down she was, but the surface was a long way up. It was too late to turn around now. So she dove ever downwards, hoping that there would be somewhere to breath soon.

Marbles lungs screamed for air, she felt like they would burst. 'Almost there' she thought to herself. She moved as quickly as she could, and soon a faint light was visible below. It pulsed slightly, and Marble swam towards it.

It opened up into a cave. Above her, she could see lights. The water shimmered, and she realized it was an air pocket. She launched out of the water, gasping like a fish for air. She floated towards a platform, flopping over onto it. She didn't even care that there was a crowd of purplish-blue, glowing dragons gathered around her. After that, Marble thought she would never hold her breath again.

At least ten Coralfins were crowding around her. Marble couldn't see the room she was in, but the ceiling was huge and so very tall. She guessed the room must be huge too. She lifted her head, studying the strange dragons before her.

Electric yellow eyes blinked at her curiously from a short, narrow face. Webbed fins ran down each of their spines, and around their tails. They each had slightly different scales, some had purple scales, others had all different shades of blues. They all had gills, and brightly glowing spots on their necks, bodies, and tails. They were very muscled, probably from all the smiling they do. None of them had wings. Marble couldn't imagine not being able to fly, but they probably couldn't imagine not being able to swim.
