Chapter fifteen- Reunion

The first thing Marble did when she awoke the next morning was head towards the tree where she had been when Skullcrusher had abducted her.

She stared up at the empty branches. Not even Greatness was perched in the tree. It was only mid-day. Was she hunting?

The Nightwings still wandered about the clearing, and it didn't look like many had left.

Maybe Artica and Scorch had gotten her alone, maybe they retrieved the pearl without her.

Marble knew that they probably would not be here, so she turned to take off. She used her invisibility just in case someone saw her.

She flew, and eventually the RainWing village appeared beneath her. She glided down, landing on the main platform. She had to find Perfection. But all the RainWings looked pretty much the same.

She searched through the whole village, but she didn't know where Perfection or her friends would be.

She searched for what seemed like ever, no sign of anyone. She was just about to give up, when a bright yellow dragon wized by, nearly hitting her. He was yelling something about fruits and rainbows. Could it be Papaya? The overly energetic RainWing that had come to visit her and Scorch on their first day here?

Marble guessed so. She followed him to an old wooden platform, were several fruits were laid down.

"Papaya?" Asked Marble, making herself visible again.

"Yipe! You made me jump!" He exclaimed. "Oh, hey, it's you again! Where is the black one?" He asked, bouncing up and down.

"I was wondering that too. Have you seen him recently?" She asked.

"Not since yesterday!" He said.

"Well, do you know where Perfection is then?"

"Oh, yes. I just saw her a minute ago! She was flying around over there," he said, pointing to the main platform.

Marble thanked him, and headed in that direction. Sure enough, was a rosy pink dragon circling around the vine platform.

The dragon saw her, and flew towards her.

"Hello, Perfection?" Asked Marble.

"That's me! How can I help you?" She said politely.

"Have you seen my friend anywhere lately?".

"Um....." Perfection hesitated, thinking deeply.

"I think he may have gone to see Queen Glory," she said.

"Oh, okay, thanks," Marble sighed and turned to head towards the big dome that was where the Queen usually stayed.

She landed on a long platform, and peeked her head into the room. Queen Glory was perched on a throne, the Mudwing, Seawing, Sandwing, and Nightwing surrounded her. Scorch and Artica were nowhere to be seen. Marble sighed, and went to perch in the nearest tree. Would she ever see them again? Had they left without her?

The wind started to pick up, until it was howling at her, blowing at her wings again. Just like the wind from when she had used the Vren Dand with Scorch. She griped the branch she was on tighter, she feared that if she let go the wind would come carry her away.

She looked up, and two dark shapes were falling from the sky. They got bigger and bigger, until Marble could see that they were dragons. They recovered quickly, and sailed down to her. Scorch and Artica had come back.

Marble flew up to meet them, and they circled back down to the ground.

"Marble!" Exclaimed Scorch, wrapping his tail around hers without realizing. Marble stared at it and Scorch pulled his away awkwardly. Marble smiled and twined her tail around his again, while Scorch grinned widely. But then his mood changed.
