Chapter two- Leaving.

Marble was too exited to sleep even for a minute, so she stayed up all night, reading the few dusty old scrolls she had in her cave.

She read about the dragons of Pyrrhia. She tried to memorize all their powers, abilities-anything-just in case it came in handy.

Mudwings lived together in groups with their siblings, and fought along side each other, too. They were tough and could breath fire when warm enough. They can also hold their breath for a long time. Sound tough...

Sandwings had poisonous barbed tails, but it was curable with a simple cactus juice. They could breath fire, too. Don't want to come across one of those when they're angry!

Skywings had enormous wings, almost as big as a Timewings'! That meant they could fly really fast. They also breathed fire, like most other dragons. And above all, they were know for being excellent fighters, with quick tempers-at least from what she'd heard.

Seawings have very strong tails, they can breath underwater, and have excellent night vision. Marble had always dreamed of exploring the depths, if only she could.

Rainwings could camouflage into anything. They were very good climbers, and could spit venom. The last part was a fairly new discovery to the dragons of Pyrrhia, but then again, they didn't have scouts posted everywhere to keep them informed.

Icewings could stand freezing cold temperatures, much like timewings. They could see in very bright light, whereas most dragon tribes would be blinded. They also breath a deadly cold breath. Marble had seen what happened to those unfortunate dragons who've gotten in the way of an IceWings frosty breath. It wasn't desirable.

Lastly, Nightwings could breath fire, and their black scales allow them to blend into shadows. Some Nightwings could read minds and/or see glimpses into the future, a powerful gift. Nobody knew how, it didn't seem possible. But somehow they always knew what was going on. I wonder if anyone has ever truly studied the brain of a telepathic NightWing?

Just as Marble had finished putting away the scrolls, a Timewing guard appeared at the entrance.

"Yes? What is it?" She asked.

"The council was wondering when you planned on leaving" replied the guard, a burly TimeWing with a deep voice.

"Oh, alright. I was actually planning on going now, if that's ok?" Marble asked sweetly, hiding her distaste for the TimeWing. He strutted around like he was king of the world, whenever she saw him

"Oh course" he grunted. Then turned and flew off.

Marble trotted towards the cave entrance, taking one last look at her home.
Would she ever see it again?

She spread her wings, and prepared to leap when, suddenly, a horn blew.
