These new foes I'm facing...the more I think about it....the more they remind me of Vallites. I mean, we can see them, but they're like normal enemy soldiers, but dead.
As I'm writing this, we're taking a break on our march to Regna Ferox. We just faced a mass of Risen, but they were no problem to take down. During this down time, I was able to have a conversation with Chrom. I'm a bit surprised to know that he's a member of the Ylisse royalty, but I shouldn't really be surprised. There was something about him that spoke royalty. We also have some new team members. Their names are Sully, Vaike, Stahl, and Miriel. They all seem really cool, but Vaike...gosh he reminds me of Setsuna. Very careless, losing things. Heck, he lost his axe right before we went into battle! Luckily for him, Miriel had found it, but I'm pretty sure she gave him a good talk.
I really miss Takumi. And everyone else. Maybe now that I seem to be proficient in the art of magic...maybe I can see if I can work some spells to do a dream visit. It would be hard, but Leo's done it in the past, while I was locked up in the Northern Fortress.
I honestly hope that staying with Chrom ends up being a good choice.

I sighed as I flipped through the only tome I currently owned: Thunder. It honestly reminded me of some of the magic we had back at home, but this magic obviously had it's own quirks. I've noticed that after every time I've used it, it seems as if weapons and tomes don't last forever here. "Thinking about something?" I heard a voice suddenly say. I jumped and turned around, and Chron was there. "C-Captain!" I yelped, a bit startled. Chrom slightly chuckled as he sat next to me. "Sorry, Kai. Did I scare you?" I nodded. "You did. But...it's fine, I guess." Chrom smiled. "Alright. So, anything interesting with that tome of yours?" he asked. I shook my head. "I don't know. I know this is corny, but before I came here, I was awful at magic...but maybe now...maybe I can try to work a spell to dreamvist the one's I left behind..." Chrom nodded. "I see. Sounds interesting. Honestly, I've tried to keep out of the art of magic. Sword fighting has always been my forte. Anyways," he said with a sigh. We should probably set up camp. It's getting late." I nodded. "Good idea."
