"Who are you and what do you want with me?" I asked trying to buy time and looked around for anything I could brandish as a possible weapon to hurt her .I found a small trash can and threw in her direction she deftly kicked it out of her range and laughed.
"Cherie just because you caught me off guard once doesn't mean you can do it again... accept your fate so that we can end this now. I promise to be quick but can't guarantee it won't hurt you" she laughed maniacally.
"Too bad there is no one to save you now is there "she said
No ... there is me of course !" said a familiar English accent .And just like that the mysterious man appeared out of nowhere and stood behind the deranged nurse giving me an angry look.
He twisted her neck in a grotesque manner which snapped loudly.
She fell to the ground. He then brandished a small bottle of water and doused it on her body before lighting a match and setting her on fire.
"What the ...." I screeched. "Why did you kill that lady? We could have just handed her over to the police" I said angrily. "What you did was murder just now you frigging buffalo!"
He seemed to be unaffected by my accusations, still busy with making sure no part of the body was left and that everything was turned to ash. After what seemed like an eternity the body had been burnt to complete ash. Strangely no one from the neighboring buildings had come out or noticed the smoke. "Oh if you are worrying about that you ought to know only you and me can see these creatures which also means only you have seen this thing being burnt to death. No normal's can see this" he said with an air of knowing before turning away from me. "Huh?" had the dastard had just read my mind?
"Oh no you don't! You are not leaving until you explain to me what that was and who you are and what you mean by all this you said just now" I sputtered angrily. "Yeah right, I ain't no damn professor... girl!" He clenched his teeth and started again in the other direction.
I felt so angry that I literally felt like I was on fire. The skin near my ankle connecting to my foot felt very hot and felt like it was peeling away.
Suddenly without any control my right hand lifted itself and an empty water tanker kept on the side of the building started to shake.
At the precise moment when he veered around I had launched the tanker in his trajectory. It would have been very funny to have seen the look on his face when he saw what was about to happen had I not felt so angry.
He ducked around just in time. I looked around and saw an empty but smelly garbage bin lying around and made it levitate and again veered it into his direction .This time however he was ready .From nowhere he had brandished a sword as if out of thin air and neatly cut the bin in half it fell to either side of him.
I was panting and suddenly my feet managed to give away. Realization hit upon me that what I had done wasn't normal and if he weren't normal either he could have got seriously injured.
"I'm so sorry! I don't know what I had been doing" I said as he neared me. "It's ok "he said "It's not your fault you can't control it"
I was shocked to see pity in his eyes and the tone of his voice. For the first time he seemed less gruff and more humane.
I was on the verge of tear's feeling welcome by his sudden kindness and in the shock of what I had just done. "What's happening to me?" "Am I a monster too?" I whispered suddenly afraid that someone would have heard me.
"On the contrary ... "He said now a little loudly grinning and displayed a flash of pearly white's. The last thing I remembered was looking into his green eyes and everything went black.
