A sigh of relief rushed through me as I saw lights still flickering in that rundown bar. Despite how crazy and irrational my plan was, the fact that it was still open gave me a sliver of hope that she was still in there. Piper Chapman was her name- the girl who had somehow managed to flip my life upside in the hour or two of knowing her. My heart raced as I was closing in on the door of the bar. 10 feet, 5 feet, 2 feet, 1 foot, 1 inch-
"Alex!" A surprised voice filled the empty streets around me. My initial shock of getting ran into quickly faded as I realized who that voice belonged to.
"Piper! What are you doing?" I mentally slapped myself due to the fact that she is obviously leaving the bar. It was the first thing to pop into my head. Her cheeks were rosy with embarrassment and her eyes kept darting away from mine. A smirk played across her pink lips as she asked, "I could as you the same thing." Now it was my turn to blush.
"I... uh... I forgot my phone," I tried. Really Alex? I could see amusement make an appearance on her face as she gently ran her small hand against the back of my thigh.
"Oh, you mean..." she trailed off as her hand got closer and closer towards my ass- goosebumps moved across my entire body. "... this phone?" She chirped as she grabbed my phone out of my pocket. Her sexy smirk was accompanied by a raise of her eyebrow and a cheeky laugh. I laughed shyly and nodded in approval of her move. Why does she have this effect on me? "Now why did you really come back? It couldn't have been the drinks, they weren't that good," she added. Her playfulness was quickly helping me regain my confidence.
"Definitely not to see your cute smile again," at this, her blush quickly returned and she gently put her hand on my arm. There go the goosebumps. "Why don't we get out of here? The streets of Bronx are nowhere for a pretty girl like you to be at this time of night." I couldn't stop complimenting her. I was definitely out of my element.
"Well maybe a strong, beautiful woman like you could protect me and take me somewhere," she cooed. Fuck. My eyes traveled down her slim body- I saw a pleased reaction flow across her face.
"My apartment-" I started but quickly remember Silvy, my girlfriend, and how she'd be waiting for me. Shit. Priorities... "-is currently unavailable." Fuck, now it sounds like I'm running a hotel. Her face fell with disappointment. "my mom is staying there," I rushed. Piper's smile popped up again.
"Well mine is currently available," the tone in her voice was playful and sexy. Let's just hope I'll make it to the apartment.
"Lead the way, Ms. Piper Chapman," I link my arm with hers as we head towards the subway. The shitty bar is out behind us, only to return as a fond memory of where I met the seemingly perfect, Piper Chapman.
