Mitch POV

After I said that I had liked someone, Scott's eyes went wide and he looked hurt.

The meeting was done after about 6 more minutes and Scott practically ran out of the room.

I tried to go after him but Kirstie held me back.

"Mitch, who do you like?"

I hesitated. Could I trust her?

Probably. It's not like she would kill herself (A/N haha...#soon).

"S-Scott" I said, trying to be confident, but it came out as a whisper.

"Ditch him! Scott's way bett- wait, what?"

"I said Scott. I like Scott."

Realization dawned on her and she grinned.

"That's cute! Where is he?" She looked around the room.

"He left."

She looked terrified.

"Was he with someone?"

I shook my head and she looked like I just told her that her dog died.

She ran out of the room, and I assumed it was to find Scott.

I shrugged and walked out of the room, liking the silence.

When I was alone, it was great. I could do anything I wanted to do. I could sing, I could do my makeup. I could scream. Silence was the loudest scream after all.

Scott POV

Mitch liked someone.

Someone who wasn't me.

I ran out of the room (A/N The final countdown just came on haha I love that song but I feel like crYING NOSTALGIA) and down a hallway before coming to a stop and sitting in a corner.

I heard feet coming and I put my head in my hands, not wanting anyone to see me cry.

"Scott? Are you ok?" Kirstie's small voice asked.

I looked up and nodded at her.

"Oh, Scottney..." She sat down next to me and grabbed my face in her hands. She used her thumb to wipe my tears.

"What's wrong?"

"It's Mitch.. He likes someone. I like him and he likes someone else. Kit, why does it hurt so much?" I whispered.

She held back a giggle and failed. She bursted out laughing and I knew I shouldn't have told her. She was laughing at me.

"N-no w-way, Scott! He just told me he likes you! You big doof!" she said while laughing.

I felt my heart slowly coming back together, as if healing itself. I smiled at her and I stood up. She did too.

I grabbed her hand and together we walked to find Mitch.

When we walked into the room and I saw Mitch laying under his covers, just the tip of his head visible, I waved to Kirstie and she took the hint to leave.

After she left, I sat on the edge of his bed, not wanting to wake up the content peaceful boy, but wanting to be close to him at the same time.

I sneezed and I guess it was really loud because Mitch pulled the covers down away from his head and stared at me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up" I said.

He rolled his eyes and said, "I wasn't sleeping. I'm insomniac."

I nodded and we sat together in silence.

I heard rustling and looked over to see Mitch moving over to me.

He sat next to me and our hands brushed.

He grabbed my hand and I felt sparks, and it wasn't even a kiss.

Our hands fit perfectly together like puzzle pieces.

I looked at him to see he was looking right at me.

His milky brown eyes held so much emotion, so many secrets I had yet to find out about the small boy.

"Scott.." he trailed off.

"Yes?"

"I like you. A lot."

I felt my heart swell at the simple words that had so much meaning behind them.

"I like you too. A lot."

He grinned and it showed his dimples, and it was so cute it made me smile too.

"Can i... Kiss you?" I asked.

He nodded hesitantly and I leaned in.

Our lips connected and he was tense at first, but warmed up pretty quickly. Our lips moved together in synchronization. As if they were meant to connect.

He pulled away to breath and I grinned at him.

"That kiss was amazing" we both said.

He smiled and he leaned in for another kiss.
