Kevin POV

"Kevin Olusola" the judges announced.

I grabbed my cello and walked out on the stage.

I bowed, then sat down and took a deep breath.

This night was going to be the most important night of my life.

I looked up to try to find my parents, and found them in the front row.

I smiled at them, then looked back down at my cello.

I played a few notes of the song, and you could almost hear the people in the crowd gasp at how beautiful it was.

After about a minute I took a deep breath and started beatboxing.

The crowd's breath's practically stopped, and all you could hear in the auditorium was me and my cello.

When I was done, the entire crowd and judges stood up to clap for me.

I grinned widely, stood up and took a bow, before walking of the stage.

I was so happy that everyone liked it, because there were 3 different scouts from colleges in the audience, so I had probably made a good impression.

***

It was nearly 12:00 before I got home.

Everyone wanted to celebrate with ice cream, so I went.

When I got home, I quickly got in my pj's, before kissing my cello and climbing in bed.

After an hour of tossing and turning, I knew something was wrong.

I quickly got out of bed and went to check on my parents.

When I was that they were both fine, I went back to my room.

I climbed back into my bed and fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow.

***

I felt someone breathing on my face and I quickly opened my eyes, still extremely tired.

I saw a stranger sitting over me with a creepy smirk on their face.

They had greenish eyes, that had this tint of blue or brown in it, but it was still kinda dark in my room so I couldn't tell.

I quickly shut my eyes again, trying to fall back asleep, but then I remembered my parents were still out there and before I could try to get up, I was asleep again.

****

When I woke up again, I could tell it was mid-day, meaning my parents had let me sleep in.

I opened my eyes and I almost screamed at the sight.

My parents head's were laying on the ground, with no bodies.

The blood had stained the carpet, and it all just looked horrifying.

I got my phone from my bedside table and quickly called 911.

***

My doctors had diagnosed me with insomnia, but every time I thought of sleeping I would have a panic attack.

The thought of sleeping scared me so bad because of what happened that night while I was sleeping.

The medication my doctors had given me wasn't working so they had to transfer me to a hospital for people who needed to get better with their fears because it effected their health.

My name is Kevin Olusola, I'm 20 years old, and I'm diagnosed with SomniPhobia, the fear of sleep, and insomnia, and anxiety.
