SOPHIE DAVIS
"Austin?" I shouted, just outside of our bedroom, a smile gracing my lips as I heard his deep chuckle. "I have good news!"
I opened the door, and what was before my eyes, left me feeling as if my heart had been viscously ripped straight through chest.
It was a sight I could almost not believe, something I'd never imagined I'd have to see. Austin's naked ass was in the air as he hovered over a slightly familiar blonde girl who was equally as naked.
I was too shocked and unequivocally heartbroken to say anything when I saw Austin's head snap in my direction. I put a hand to my mouth and tried to stop the sobs that were erupting from my throat. I didn't want him to see me like this, he didn't deserve to.
"Sophie!" he yelled shocked & bleary eyed, as he jumped up from our bed completely naked. I faintly heard the girl he was in bed with say, "Where you going, babe?" As Austin grabbed for a sheet to wrap around himself and began chasing me.
I ran through the many halls of the pack house, ignoring the curious stares of my fellow pack members, and running as fast as I possibily could to get away from him.
Once I was outside I didn't hesitate to run to my car that was parked across the street.
"Sophie!" Austin shouted frantically just as I was about to step off of the sidewalk, I turned around to look at him. I attributed the frantic look on his face to what I'd just walked in on, and I wondered how many times it had happened while I was completely oblivious to his betrayal.
I saw Austin's lips moving, but I turned my head back around and kept running, once I was in my car and away from my cheating mate, I would be okay... At least more okay than I was feeling inside right now.
"Stop, there's a--" I didn't pay Austin's words any mind, Before I knew it, I felt something slamming into me with a great amount of force. I'd just been hit by a car.
As I fell to the ground, I experienced the greatest pain I'd ever felt, and my last thought before drifting into unconsciousness was of my cheating mate.

I awoke groggily and squinted my eyes as I tried to open them. I didn't remember my room being this bright. When my eyes finally adjusted to the light, I looked around, confused to find that I was in a hospital room.
Memories of what happened came flying back to me, and a new round of tears began. As I silently cried, I examined my injured body. Both of my legs were in a cast, most likely broken. I raised my hand to my head to find it a bloody mess, I could tell I was on some heavy medication, but there was still a dull throb in my ribs.
My breathing completely stopped as a horrible thought entered my mind. "My pup!" I screeched, putting a hand to my abdomen.
I must have been pretty loud because soon, a woman in a pair of pink scrubs entered the hospital room, I assumed she was a nurse. "You're awake," she said cheerily, before she saw the sheer panic on my face.
"My pup!" I screamed again, the tears were coming down faster. "Is my baby okay?"
She gave me a look filled with pity, before saying calmly, "I'll go get the doctor."
"Wait!" I shouted after her frantically, but she ignored me as she hurriedly left the room.
Her actions could only mean one thing, but I didn't let myself believe it as I waited for the doctor to come. After what seemed like hours, but was really only a couple of minutes, a man with graying hair in a white doctor's coat opened the door.
He gave me a sympathetic smile as he walked over to my bed. "My pup?" I managed to ask, my voice was broken as I looked into his kind brown eyes.
"I'm afraid you had a miscarriage." His words shot into me like knives, the air was completely knocked out of my lungs as I felt the kind of sad ache in my chest that I'd luckily never had to experience before this heart wrenching moment.
Even though I had already pretty much known this, hearing it out loud made my heart break in two. I thought Austin cheating on me had broken my heart, but that paled in comparison to this devastating heartbreak.
The doctor was ignorantly asking me questions that I could barely answer between my constant sobs, before leaving me by myself. I was glad though, I needed some time to grieve.
Before I knew it, I was thankfully drifting off to sleep, to a place where there wasn't riddled with cheating mates and dead unborn pups.
•••
I awoke once again to the bright light, but this time when I opened my eyes, I saw Austin sitting in a chair beside my bed, his hand had a tight grip on mine and his normally beautiful grayish blue eyes were bloodshot.
"Sophie," he whispered looking into my eyes. As I looked back into his, I couldn't deny that I loved him, but that didn't change what he did to me. It didn't change the fact that he cheated on me and practically caused the death of our unborn child.
I felt the hate coursing through me in that moment, and I knew Austin could tell because of the angry tears in my eyes.
So with teary eyes I looked him in the eye and said the three words that I would have never imagined I'd say to my mate. "I hate you."
[A/N: Please vote and comment! I'd like to know what you think and if I should continue. Don't worry, I don't plan to make the story completely sad, and don't hate Austin just yet! Thanks for reading!]
