"He did what?" I exclaimed.

"I know right? I just walked into the kitchen, and there Austin was, beating the shit out of Trevor, " Maggie responded, shaking her head in disbelief.

"God." I was shocked to say the least, Austin had never been particularly violent before.

"Trevor told me he was trying to reassure Austin, tell him that you'd forgive him, when all of the sudden, Austin brang up Tara." Maggie shrugged, before giving me a confused look. "Weren't you with Austin right before it happened. What happened between you two?"

"He was trying to explain why he cheated on me, and then he kissed me, and I ran away."

"Did you kiss him back?"

"Yes," I admited meekly, I was never going to hear the end of this one.

"What! Why would you do that?" She scowled angrily at me. "Did you forget that he cheated on you?"

"He's my mate, Maggie, those feelings don't just go away. When he kissed me it was my instinct to kiss back," I explained.

"I still think it was stupid. Don't give him false hope."

"I know, I know. I wonder why he went crazy?" I said laying back on Maggie's bed and looking at my chipped nails.

"He's always been crazy," she laughed, laying back with me.

"A little bit."

"So what do you want to do today?" Maggie asked.

"I don't know, I guess we could go to the mall. I'm in need of new clothes," I said, pointing to the old baggie sweatshirt I was wearing.

She nodded vigorously, and I tugged on a piece of her red hair playfully. "Hey!" I shouted, offended.

"You're the one who said it," she said while shrugging.

"Yeah, but you weren't suppose to agree with me!"

She rolled her eyes. "Make yourself sightly more presentable and meet me in my car. Don't take too long." She opened the door and walked out.

At her request, I got up quickly and put jeans and a T-shirt on. I ran a brush through my hair, and was out the door.

"That's what you call presentable?" Maggie questioned when I got in her car.

"You know, I'm starting tothink you actually feel that way," I said, putting a hand to my heart in mock offence.

She pushed my shoulder and laughed. "I think you're absolutely beautiful, and you know that."

I smiled at her, while she started the car and we drove off.

"Oh my god! That shirt would look amazing on you!" Maggie exclaimed pointing to a pale blue shirt that was in the window of her favorite store. "It'll bring out your eyes."

She dragged me into the store and forced me to try it on. As I looked in the mirror of the changing room, I was saddened. Instead of the usual sparkle that was in my eyes, they were saddened, and bloodshot from all of the crying I've been doing lately. There was bags under my eyes from lack of sleep, and my usual shiny brown hair was sightly greasy.

"Hurry up!" Maggie yelled, and I came out of the dressing room. "You have to buy that," she started to say, but I wasn't listening. My attention was drawn to a particular blonde who was smiling smugly at me.

I tensed up when she began making her way towards me. "Hi, Sophia was it?"

"Sophie," I corrected, scowling at her.

"Oh sorry about that." She leaned in closer to my ear, while Maggie watched from a far, her green eyes wide. "Your mate was okay, but don't worry, you aren't missing anything. I've had way better."

I wanted to hit her so badly, but instead, I stepped back calmly. "I'm sure you have. You'd expect that from someone who has slept with the entire fucking town!" I shot back, and she looked sightly shocked.

I walked away, grabbing Maggie by the hand. It was going to be a dramatic exit, but then I realized that I still had the stupid shirt on. I sighed and made my way to the cashier. "I'd like to buy this."

When the shirt was payed for, we made our way out the door, but by that time, the shock had warn off and the stupid blonde bitch was laughing.

"God Sophie! I didn't know you had it in you!" Maggie said as we excited the store, and the bitch was out of earshot.

"Me either," I said, sightly proud of myself. "Let's go to Gerard's, I want to buy a new dress."
