TEN

Days pass and soon turn into weeks. Many packs join, but many have decided to stay where they were. It seems as if we have luck. I was not planning on letting someone take away my family and neither did those who joined us and stayed at our home. Many had different talents but they where all equally special.

Everyday they each came and brought "gifts" to my dear Ira. There was a special girl from up in the mountains that brought flowers to Ira almost everyday. Crystal, Ira's protecter scanned each gift for safety. We don't want to deal with any traitors.

I hold my baby in my arms and I can feel her warmth, this is home. She's beautiful and her blue eyes study mine and her tiny fingers play with mine. Mason adores her, I guess I'm lucky.

Mason, Paul, and Lyle have been hard at training and so have I. Crystal and Seantasia, or as we like to call her flower girl. Ira feels safe with them so I trust them. But now I have time to spend with my baby girl, to love and to hold while she's still small and I'm still alive.

The weeding takes place in two days and we still have about a month or two to continue training. The bonding ties everything together. I hope we can get through without any complications.

MASON'S POV

My office has become the hang out spot for the Alphas. I'm not going to argue I feel powerful in a room surrounded by the most respected Alphas there are and their all waiting for me to call the shots.

Alex has been calling me "king of the alphas" for some time now and I'm starting to like it. If only we didn't have a baby, I would do so many things to her and make her scream, "King!" But she doesn't want to not with the baby around.

Lyle marshes in and pulls me aside, "You are never going to believe this. Well maybe but... Kendall's here."

My ex lover Kendall. Big ass, nice blonde hair, tall and extremely sexy. She likes to experiment just as much as I do. Hopefully there won't be a scene. "Have you informed her?... You know that I'm no longer a bachelor and I have a kid!..And of course all the attacks and kidnappings."

Lyle nods, "Yup and she didn't look very happy."

I nod and Lyle walks away. We began to plan each movement that we would make. We put ourselves in groups mixing the weak with the brave, for protection. We decide that it is best to build forest borders and hiding places. It would be much easier.

Tameron the Alpha of the southeast mountain begins to speak,  "Okay okay we should make any further decisions until Alfred arrives." The others nodded in agreement. I stay silent and they all looked at me.

"Do you not agree Mason?" Asks Sean from the Gold Moon pack.

I stand tall, "How can I agree if the person were waiting for is already dead?  I thought you would all know this by know." They all stood their in disbelief.

"What about his daughter?!" Philip, the alpha of red woods asks.

I smile and look out to the elder who will be doing the bonding. "She's safe. She's found a mate and their boding is two days time."

They relax. "She's also the mother of a child." I add as smiles appear on their faces. I hid mine I want her mate to be a surprise to them.

"And she's also very very ugly compared to me." A female voice speaks and soon she appears from the shadows. Kendall.

"Get out this an alpha meeting, betas are outside training!" I say raising my voice trying to keep myself together and not running up to her and tearing her shirt of and doing amazing things to her.
