Being alone is easier. I can cry when I'm alone.
The tears were wiped away furiously. No. I can't be weak. I just can't. Nico needs me. Though I ask myself this everyday..is it Nico who needs me..or is it me who needs him? Maybe it was me who needed Nico. Maybe Nico doesn't want to see me. Because, well..I left him and Bianca alone. For two freaking years. Alone. All alone. Without me.
I straightened my tight black tee and got ready to Shadow Travel. I dusted off my blue skinny jeans and adjusted the laces on my combat boots. Squaring my shoulders, I stepped into the shadows and was greeted with a sudden jolt of coldness.
My hands were clenched into fists as I traveled through the shadows. I felt cold shivers up my spine and couldn't see a thing. Strange noises were everywhere, I can't even explain who was causing them. Blood pounded through my ears and it was so dark. Darker than anything. But I'm used to this. It was normal for me. Shadow Traveling was quite easy once you got the hang of it. Though it made me very tired at most times. That was..before Hades gave me his blessing. Have you ever heard of blessings from gods or goddesses? For example, Aphrodite's blessing. Your appearance will still perfect and blablabla. It's a stupid blessing though. Another example, Ares' blessing. A reddish fire glows from the demigod being blessed and makes them temporarily invincible. Hades' blessing is a wee bit different. It lasts until Hades' doesn't want it to last. A glowing black energy outlines my silhouette. It makes me radiate death and darkness. The blessing also made me stronger. I didn't tire as quickly when I summoned skeletons or Shadow Traveled. Cool right? To summarize it all up..I pretty much let off a dark glow that radiates death and darkness and makes me strong. My "death glow" strikes fear into people and they of tend to stay away from me. Oh well. It's not like I'm lonely or anything. Being alone is easier. I can cry when I'm alone.
