Robin

Snow and I watched my wife collapse onto the leaves on the forest floor, tears falling down her face as she tried to internalize what just happened.

I crept towards her and knelt beside her, placing my hand on her shoulder gently to try and comfort her, but she jerked away and sniffled, giving me a hurt expression.

"Regina? What's wrong?" I asked in a confused tone, but she just wiped her eyes and looked up at me. "What were you doing with her before I got here?" She asked sadly, I exhaled and sat back not wanting to hurt the one I loved most, but my confusion ran ramped in this situation.

"Never mind." She snapped, standing slowly before facing me, her lower lip trembling as she fought to compose herself.

"What's bothering you? You just said that you loved her, you accepted her as a part of yourself again, this should make the merging process easier!" I remarked, but she growled and spun around to face her back towards me.

"I lied! If the Queen truly believed that I loved her, or even tolerated whatever she is- she'd go away! And look, we weakened her enough for us to destroy her! There is no way in hell that I could accept that woman and the things that she's done! And it baffles me that you can even stand being around her after what she's done to you!" She yelled, making me stumble back and hold my hands out towards my livid wife.

"Regina you need to calm down, I can't just split you in half and treat you two as different people! I fell in love with you, all of you! Not one part, or the other! Of course I'm going to have feelings for her, I can't explain it but I do! She hasn't done anything to me that directly hurt me, so it makes it easier for me to see the good in her!" I defended, but she chuckled bitterly and flung her arms in the air.

"She killed your wife! She took Roland's mother! All because she helped Snow get away from her!" She yelled, making my heart turn to ice as I stared at the woman in front of me, flares of anger flickering through my heart.

"What." I muttered, my words sounding inaudible as I tried to comprehend what my wife had just said, my head now spinning.

"She killed Marian." She said dropping her voice, shame now leaking through as she looked me dead in the eyes, catching her breath as I tried to formulate something to say.

"This is why you shouldn't have done this." I whispered, dropping to my knees as my body started to numb. Roland had his mother stolen from him, and I had always blamed myself, for encouraging my first wife to stand up for what was right, helping the bandit princess, thinking that she had been killed on the journey to help her.

My stomach twisted as confusion filled my head, turning my heart to lead in my chest. "She did those things Robin." Regina cried, desperation in her voice as she came up behind me.

"No Regina! She isn't an outlet to blame everything on! She is a person just like you and me, but if you truly hate that part of yourself, then she will never be happy! Both of you killed my wife! There is no pure evil and pure goodness- both of you were present when that happened!" I yelled, slamming my fist on a tree as I tried to cope with the information that she had revealed.

"So is that why you were getting so handsy! Why you had your tongue down her throats before I got here?! I saw you Robin! What the fuck was that!" She demanded, only heightening my frustration and anger with this whole ordeal.

"WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY REGINA?! WHAT IF YOU TWO MERGE AGAIN?! WHAT KIND OF PERSON WOULD I BE- HUSBAND WOULD I BE IF I TOLD YOU TO YOUR FACE THAT I DIDN'T LOVE EVERY PART OF YOU?!" I yelled, making her eyes grow with rage and hurt.
