Snow

I held Regina's bent knee over her body and watched as she pushed painfully, she curled on her side and strained to get the baby moving.

"PLEASE GET THEM OUT! GET THEM OUUUUT!" She screamed, groaned painfully as her contraction began to subside, allowing her to breathe and squirm.

"I need to move, I don't like it like this anymore." She complained, breathing shallowly as we helped her up, letting her maneuver around however she wanted.

"Why don't you just stroll around here in between and then push when you need to?" Teresa suggested, making her eyes widen and nod frantically, struggling to rise to her feet in such a compromising state.

"Here you go." I helped, using my arms to lift her to her feet, sitting back as she began to slowly wander around the loft. Alena had become less active in this process and silently began to lay plastic around the floor and on the bed to prevent staining.

"Ow! Ohhhh! God! Somebody help me!" She cried as she reached out in my direction and began to lower down while gripping my shoulders, her breathing becoming labored as she struggled to prepare for the push.

"Breathe!" I reminded, rubbing her sides as she began to whine, screaming loudly as she lowered down farther and pushed, nothing moving into sight as she continued, however her eyes grew twice in size and her legs began to shake.

"Regina? Honey what's wrong?" I asked, summoning Teresa as my stepmother's screams took a new octave, catching everyone's attention.

"THERE IS SO MUCH PRESSURE! OH GOD I CAN'T PUSH! HELP ME SOMEONE!" She screamed, her body tensing up as she continued to wail in agony, deep and shallow breaths causing her eyes to become glassy.

"Yes you can push! Use that pressure because it's the baby's head right there, push so you can start crowning!" Teresa demanded, taking a heart monitor and lifting her shirt, placing the wand on her tense stomach.

"Next contraction you're going to push hard for me Regina." Teresa said listening to the little heartbeat, moving in between Regina and I to watch as she began to push.

"AHHH!!" She cried, but the small dip in the heart pattern had caught everyone's attention, including my daughter's and her husband's. "Why did his heart do that?! Is something wrong? Whats going on with my baby?!" Emma cried, fear filling her eyes, causing Regina to scream and silently weep in my arms.

"No- NO! The baby is going to be fine, shh, I'm just going to monitor him a bit more to make sure his heart doesn't dip too low, but we just need to get him out of you, okay?" Teresa explained to Regina who was trying to ward off tears, but they were falling inevitably.

"Hooooo... oh go- AH!" She cried as a new level of agony introduced itself to her body, Robin snuck behind her and began rubbing her back, trying to calm her down.

"Alright my love, try and relax. Breathe in and out." Robin encouraged, slowly rubbing her legs that were shaking from the pain and fatigue.

"Robin! I can't do it! I can't I can't I can't!" She cried, trying to lean back into his arms for comfort, reaching back for him.

"Let's get you sitting on the edge of the bed so you're not completely on your back, but you can rest." The medic suggested, making Regina nod as Robin swiftly lifted her up and into his arm, beginning to walk her towards the bed that a silent Alena had covered in plastic.
