Regina
One Month Later
Emma was sick. Treatments in the Enchanted Forest was not working, and the pumpkin wasn't growing fast enough for her diminishing health.
Eight and a half months with twins was grueling, every part of my body ached with my movement, and the squirming babies inside of me made me even less mobile.
"Pants milady?" Robin asked as both of us dressed for the day, I pulled my long robe around myself and pulled my long hair back. It had grown past my shoulders where I normally kept it maintained, but the twins allowed it to grow to my mid back, the curls became more distinct, and with every day that these twins remained inside me, it grew.
"No thank you, I can barely walk my love, can you just grab me a dress please?" I requested, watching as my husband nodded and disappeared into my large closet in search of something that I could function in.
I went to follow him when my back spasmed, the muscles stretching around my lower back and stomach knotting painfully.
"Robin." I groaned, gripping the edge of the vanity painfully, but my moan didn't catch his attention.
"Robin!" I cried, listening to his frantic footsteps as he rushed into the bathroom, his eyes wide with fear.
"Are they coming?! Oh god!" He yelled, but I shook my head and felt my knees shake, his burly arms lifting me to my feet.
"More false labor? Okay love, let's get you sitting." He whispered, leading me to the edge of the bathtub, sitting me down on the rim.
"Mhm." I groaned, breathing heavily while rubbing my stomach. "This pumpkin needs to finish growing, because it's almost harvest time for me." I moaned, taking the glass of water from him to try and stop the pain that was cramping around my stomach.
"I know, we need to get you home, it's getting close." Robin said worriedly, I exhaled as the pain eased up and my ability to breathe became easier. "I know, but we have to get this damn pumpkin for Emma, Eliza has been working tirelessly to get the rest of the ingredients correct." I countered, struggling to get onto my feet, such a difficult feat from such a simple position.
"Let's have Teresa or Alena look at you just in case." He suggested, worry still evident in his features, slightly amusing me. "Babe, I'm fine, it's just Braxton Hicks, I'm eight and a half months pregnant, I still have two weeks." I reminded, but he smirked and pulled me close, his firm chest pressing against my enlarged middle.
"I know, but I stilly worry about you. Plus you have a whole other baby in there, it's different and I want you to be healthy." He said sweetly, his eyes filled with worry as he spoke of me and the twins. I smiled and pulled him close, kissing him softly until he pulled away and held my sides.
"Now let's get you looked at." He said smirking, leading me out into the common areas where the family was waiting, along with my daughter who was holding Evelyn in her lap, getting her to giggle for Daniel.
"Good morning my loves." I said scooping my daughter from Alena's arms and kissing their heads. "MAMA!" I heard Roland yell from across the room, his frantic footsteps were hastily intercepted by my paranoid husband who scooped him into his arms.
"Remember what I told you?" He scolded, making the little boy's eyes drop. "No running around mama." He pouted, crossing his tiny arms as Robin leaned him over towards me, allowing me to blow a raspberry kiss on his cheek, getting a giggle out of him.
