(A/N: Hey guys I know it's been forever since I last updated and I'm really sorry it's just that I have year 10 and it's a little over whelming .... Hehe....so anyway, I'm taking a mental day off so I thought I might as well write a new chapter/s. Again, I'm super sorry and I hope you enjoy the chapter! By the way, a friend pointed out that Chiyo was overpowered and yes, she was created to be overpowered! Because it backfires and goes all horribly wrong and Bea is all like: botch, you are insane! So yeah, Chiyo was meant to appear overpowered and now she only has a few weapons since the mysterious leader of the gang she's with told her off and reminds her of how it backfired In this chapter. Anyway, hope you enjoy the story!)

Bea backed up, hardly daring to breathe as the rotted walking corpses surrounded their once safe zone. The only weapon she and on her was he halved javelin and her knowledge in fighting. Her back finally hit the wall and she covered her mouth, trying to hide her whimpers. Bea's eyes widened when she heard the screams of what heard like a young man but then looked up when she heard hushed voices. Then it was followed by slightly louder voices. Not being able to see where the voices were coming from, Bea held back more whimpers while she thought of an escape plan.
Slowly, she started to edge towards the gate where she left, cursing herself along the way. Bea thought of herself as stupid, wanting to slap herself for leaving the safety of the gates. She knew she was almost at her destination when the sound of a little girls screams and cries froze her.
Her eyes widened once more and felt her heart tear in two. Slowly, the dead started to move towards the lone cries. Bea drew in a sharp breath and was about to draw the weapon on her thigh when she heard a gun being shot. She looked up and saw a gun barrel poking over the edge of the balcony in the house she and the others had made camp in. She internally cheered, a new sense of hope starting to course through her veins as more bullets were fired.
"But it's a little girl we're talking about!" Bea had to stiffen a laugh when she heard Kohta's voice, smiling at his kind heart.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of a bike starting up just as she was about to reach the gates. All the nearby zombies turned their melting faces towards the source. The gate opened and out came a determined Takeshi on a motorbike. He must have set up a ramp of some kind because instead of going through the undead crowd that had gathered at the gate he went over them. He landed on the ground and was about to take off when Bea stopped him.
"Takeshi! Wait!" She called out, hitting a few zombies out of the way as she ran towards him.
"Quick! Get on!" Takeshi replied, his leg stretched out and resting on the ground.
He scooted forward slightly which allowed Bea to jump on the back. They took off, Takeshi kicking a zombie out of their path and Bea using the blunt half of the javelin to do the same. She had her legs squeezing the body of the motorbike, leaving both her arms free to defend their moving vehicle if need be. Soon, they neared a crowd of zombies.
"This must be it!" Takeshi mumbled and Bea prepared herself.
Takeshi turned the bike to the side, flipping what Bea could only assume was once a beautiful women over the bike and knocking Bea off.
"Bea!" Takeshi yelped, the bike's front wheel going into the air as he entered the gate. He ran over a body and the bike went fully into the air, causing Takeshi to fall off.  "Nothing ever goes to plan, does it?" He mumbled rubbing his head.
Bea grunted, kicking a zombies legs out from under it and pushed herself up from the ground, running towards the gate. She closed it, locking the latch and panting. She turned towards where a pink haired girl with a dog was curled up in the corner just in time to see Takeshi take out a zombie with crow bar.
"Don't worry about a thing, kid, you're gonna be just fine." Takeshi said as he turned to the little girl. Bea rolled her eyes at his comment and stabbed a zombie through the head with the pointed half of her javelin.

Once all the zombies had been taken care of, the two teens and the young girl stood in a small huddled group, staring up at the starry night sky.
"Mister...." Said the little girl, her voice slightly squeaky before it was laced in sadness when turned her attention to the body of a well dressed man, blood soaking the front of his once crispy white shirt. "That man there....that's my daddy."
Takeshi moved away from the two, the little girl questioning what he was doing but stopped after he grabbed a shirt and picked a wild flower growing in the garden. Bea gently pushed the girl forward as Takeshi covered the man with the shirt and then held out the flower to the girl.
"Your father died protecting you. He was a brave man," the word that Takeshi spoke struck Bea's heart. Her eyes glassed over as she heard the girl sniffling.
The girl placed the flower on the shirt covering her dad's body and continued to sniffle. She started to cry into Takeshi while Bea stood awkwardly. She felt a light wind move strands of her long hair and couldn't help but think of her sister. She wondered where she was and how she was doing. Was she okay? Has she been bitten? There were so many questions that she needed answers for and she wasn't sure if there were going to be answers.
"Listen sweetie," Bea was brought back to reality when Takeshi started to talk to the little girl. "You gotta be quiet or the noise will attract more."
"Can we get away from them?" The little girl asked and Bea looked at them as they groaned and moaned, reaching into the yard through the bars on the gate.
"We're gonna try, honey."
"Can't we just go above all of them?"
"Wouldn't I just love to be above it all?" Takeshi sighed and Bea looked off to the side, suddenly an idea struck her.
Bea climbed up onto the wall first, and then helped the other two get up with the little girl on Takeshi's back. As a small group in line, they shuffled across the wall with the zombie's reaching out to try and grab them. Bea hugged the puppy that was with the little girl close to her chest and tried to keep looking straight ahead, not wanting to look at the faces of those beneath her.
"We're gonna make it!" Takeshi cheered hopefully and suddenly the dog cranked its neck to lick Bea's chin, causing her to crack up laughing and beg for mercy. The dog stopped when she pushed down on his head as Takeshi asked the girl a question. "Are you scared?"
"I am." She replied and she asked him the same question and chuckled as his answer went from a 'no' to 'just a little'. "I've gotta pee...."
This caused Bea to stop walking and turn back to face the small child on Takeshi's back. She was shocked that she could think of that at a time like this, especially considering what they were currently doing. Takeshi muttered an 'oh no' and asked her if she could hold it. Upon her reply he asked her to think of something else since she couldn't hold it but she strongly declared that she wasn't able to hold it and wiggled around on his back. This made Bea giggle slightly, loving how the child seemed to bring some sort of playfulness to this very serious situation. There was a long and defeated sigh from Takeshi and Bea was shocked at his next words.
"Okay then, just go ahead and pee right there." He said and confirmed the girl's double checking with another sigh. "Yeah, I'm sure."
This made Bea turn around and keep walking ahead but this didn't stop her from feeling his reaction. There was a nervous laugh from the little girl and then a scream from the both of them and Bea turned around to see them stumbling on the wall and then Takeshi kicked a dead woman in the face. That's when they became aware of just how many of them there were. All hope left inside them seemed to disappear and Bea felt like she had no energy left. Then, the sound of a moving vehicle made them look towards the place they were staying at. Hope was returned when they saw what it was and who was in it. The dog barked and Bea was in awe seeing Seako standing ontop of the army style car and Kohta sticking out of the manhole with a gun. The car swerved to the side and ran over a few dozen zombie and it stopped close enough to the group of three for them to jump over to it. Seako jumped of the car and started to battle the undead when the sound of another car filled the air. Bea stopped shuffling forwards when she heard the sound of someone calling her name. She leaped off the wall and, ignoring Takeshi's cried, battled her way through the zombies to get to the another car that was now shooting at the brain eaters coming towards them. Two people jumped off the car and one continued to battle the zombies while the other engulfed Bea.
"I'm so glad that you're okay!!" Cried the person and Bea returned the hug, tears pricking her eyes. "I thought that you were eaten or something!"
"I'm sorry that I worried you, Chiyo. I'm so sorry." Bea sniffled and pulled away from her sister when she heard that the others were ready to go. She didn't want to let her sister go and didn't know how to make the descion when Chiyo made it for her.
"Go Bea," she told her younger sister as she gave her a bag. "We can text each other and this bag has a bunch of goodies for you. This is your chance to be free. I love you."
"I love you, too." Bea said and ran over to the others, getting in the heavy car.
