Chapter nine.

Vivian's P.O.V.

When I wake up, I find myself trapped within Peter's arms; my body pressed against his warm beating chest. He adjusts beneath me, signaling his awakening. Feeling his eyes on me, I sit up on the bed.

Peter's raspy morning voice arises behind me, kissing my head. The warm sensation fills my chest for a split second, then letting the cold return to its place. "Good morning."

I stand up with no response, leaving the cave a chilling silent, and walk right out of the cave heading to the Lost Boy's camp. How I wish that sensation of blood would return and I could feel again; yet Felix's words repeat through my head:' keep your emotions locked away. This is your last warning. Get it over with.'

Before I could reach the edge of the forest, i trip on a string triggering a trap. A rope instantly catches my ankle forcing me feet first into the air. Held up by a tree branch, I cross my dangling arms dumbfounded when I see Nibbs and a few of the Lost Boys look up at me in amusement.

"Sorry 'bout that", Nibbs stifles a laugh. he then pulls out a newly sharpened knife, slicing the rope holing me up. I land on my head forcing a shock through my neck into my spine.

I dust myself off and pull Nibbs angrily away from the boys to his tent. "I need to talk to you", I speak through gritted teeth, still feeling a pain retaliating from my head. Once we sit down, his look of amusement falls right of his face leaving a serious emotion.

"What happened", he stares intently at me, waiting a response.

"I think Peter is falling for me..." I start ,"if he really does, then i'll have to carry out Felix's plan for sure".

He looks at me as if he knew this would happen. "Felix has already destroyed your heart, so there's no way you can get it back here since you've ruined your chances with pan".

"So, what do you suppose I should do?" I question in desperation.

"You should leave Neverland." His words stun me. "if you find love, your heart will piece slowly back together. And you must forget about Pan." he orders in a saddened voice. "I can try to distract Pan as you leave."

"What about Felix?"

"His plan can't succeed without you." he emphasizes.

"How-" he cuts me off before I can continue.

"Don't question his plan."

The amount of knowledge he has about Felix's plan makes me suspicious about him and what more he knows about. This makes me question who Nibbs might really be. Is he with Peter or is he a turncoat helping Felix?

As if he heard my thoughts, he answered my question. "I'm on nobody's side".
