Chapter ten.

Vivian's POV

*Later that evening*

"Am I really doing the right thing by leaving Peter so suddenly?" Thoughts swirl through my head as Nibbs leads me through the forest to the beach.

"This is best for you" he hooks his arm with mine.

We continue to walk in silence till we see a small campfire in the distance. My feet sink into the sand as wee make quick footsteps towards the fading light.

"Who's going to take me home?" I ask as we approach a group of husky tattooed men.

"Captain Hook." he whispers as the tallest, most buff of the men steps in front of us.

"Is she the one?" the man points at me taking a few steps closer to me.

"Yes" Nibbs responds in a serious tone.

A mysterious smile creeps onto whom I suppose is Hook's face. He pushes a loose strand of hair behind a my ear, creating the same warmth in my chest that Peter gives me.

"We'll depart soon." Captain Hook smirks as he leads us to the dock where his ship lies.

After the crew loads themselves onto the ship, Nibbs and I stay behind.

"Will I ever see you again?" I ask in hope.

"I don't know, but the only thing you need to worry about is getting your heart back". he leans in for a hug.

"This want how my trip to Neverland was supposed to be" I mumble into his shoulder.

We pull away and stare at each other for a few seconds more, then a voice calls from above.

"Hurry up! Pan might ready know your missing." Captain Hook beckons us from the deck.

"Good bye." I hug Nibbs one last time before I climb aboard the giant ship. He salutes me from below before disappearing into the night.

The ship begins to move through the water

Peter's POV

I return from hunting with a few of my boys to see Vivian no longer at camp. "where is she?" I shout in anger ,"where is she?!"

None of the boys answer, clueless as to her whereabouts.

A familiar voice speaks from behind me," she's in her way home."

I turn around to see Nibbs with a saddened face. How does he know this? Why would she leave? "Why." I edge myself closer to him with every second that passes in silence.

By the time my face is inches away from his, he responds," to get her heart back."

"How did she get out?" Heat fills my face in frustration.

"Hook is taking her."

That name is like nails on a chalk board to me. Why would he take her back?

Why would she go home to get her heart back? I need to know. I forcefully pull Nibbs by the collar into my tent.

"Tell me everything." I threaten.

"Look, just let her be. She's better of in the real world. It's the only way she'll be able to get her heart back", he explains in a monotone.

"No, she belongs here with me!", I shout more aggressively than I should have. Nibbs looks at me with slight fear as I exit the tent.

All the boys just stop and stare at me in shock. "Everybody, get some sleep." I order before I walk to the cave.

Stepping into the cave brought back memories of being with Vivian for that shirt time. I take a seat on the bed tracing my fingers around the sheets where we slept. What am I going to do now? Should I stay or go after her? Maybe I need to listen to Nibbs. I should just let her live the life she deserves in the real world; let her grow up. The thought of her growing up pains me. I've been watching over her the past ever since she was three and to think of her moving on from me is repugnant.

What if she finds love in the real world? What if she doesn't need me anymore?What if I can never get her back? This is too much for me to handle. I need Vivian back.
