Chapter 10

"Come on!" I heard Dee yell from down the hall. I was moving slow on purpose so I didn't have to go to the beach.

"Are you ready or not?" Beverly came in my room crossing her arms.

I sat down on the bed looking down at my hands "hey are you okay?" I looked up at her and she sighed and took a sit down right next to me.

"Look I don't know what's going on but honestly California how much time do you need?"

"Beverly how can you sit here and ask how much time do I need when I should turn around and ask you the same question? Did you not tell me that you fell in love with Niall? So how are you going to be so forceful with someone who fell in love with a guy who makes her crazy?"

"I-I don't know, I just don't know what to do with the Niall situation anymore-"

"I thought you said you weren't going to give up?"

"That was before he found someone else" she stood up and brushed herself off "come on we're going to be late" she whispered and waited for me to leave the bedroom.

I guess me and Beverly are on the same boat but I don't know why she's taking this so lightly.

I shouldn't mope around maybe the guys are enjoying their time and I should at least try to enjoy myself I don't need to be worried about some guy. Like Beverly said maybe this is a sign that Harry and me were never supposed to work out.

Maybe this is a plan for me to just not fall in love, to just focus on myself and friends.

And that I shall.

"Hello?"

'Hey Jones I know you're on vacation and you come back in a few days but I need you to take a look over the email I sent you for next week's plan and tell me if you are able to do it'

"Yeah sure I'll take a look" I hung up my phone and walked over to the desktop.

"Hey who called you?" Dee sat down at the table I take a quick look and notice she's still in her bikini but put some shorts over.

"My boss he sent me an email" I pulled it up and waited for it to load.

I turned in my chair and looked at everyone enjoying their time laughing and telling stories, I sort of wish my boys were here to enjoy this with me but I think this is for the best.

I heard a beep and I click on the new message:

Hello Soccer Buzz Magazine Co Workers,

It's our 5th Annual Banquet Award Show, where we honor and award those who have been working hard and deserve a night of thanks. Soccer Buzz Magazine is welcoming all the magazine companies, teams, and other organizations to help us award our workers on this special night. This special award show will be broadcasted on National TV; ESPN has graciously allowed this event to be broadcasted on their channel.

With every earning we raise we'll be giving away to soccer organizations around the US.

We would like for each one of our workers to participate or come up with a performance that they come up with their own idea and we'll be holding an auction to which performance raised the most money.

Time: starts at 7pm but you need to be there at 5:30pm to walk the red carpet, get interviewed and autographs.

Place: Hollywood Bowl.

Date: March 1st, 2014

Next week we'll have a meeting about the Banquet to answer all unanswered questions, remember this is a great fundraiser and award show to show our thanks to you guys for everything that you have done to make this magazine the TOP 5 in the State.
