After school, Arabella promised Eric that she would stay to watch football tryouts. But what Eric didn't know, was that she was also there for Archie. Friends always needs to support each other, even if it was something the friend obviously didn't want to do.

To pass time, the girl decided to get her homework finished so she wouldn't have to worry much about it. One hand twiddled her opal pendant while the other erased a possible answer to a question.

She bit her lip while she thought of many answers and her eyes began to slowly wander from the paper to the football field where Eric was, and he happened to look at her at the same time and waved. Arabella smiled and waved back at the boy that she wouldn't change one bit.

But her eyes ultimately trailed to the track field, where Betty, Archie and Veronica were talking. With a smile, the girl quickly packed her backpack and trotted down the bleachers to ask her friends a very important question.

"So," she laughed, sneaking up on Betty and Veronica, "we've got two new Vixens and the same old Weasley."

"Yes, we are. And proud to be," Betty nodded.

"Good luck, guys. You'll need it with Cheryl as the captain," Arabella smiled.

"Well, I'll see you guys later," Archie said before running back to the field.

"Yes, leave so we can talk," the short girl shouted jokingly to her friend. "Now, are you guys going to the semiformal?" She asked with all seriousness, looking forward to what she had planned for them if they were going.

"Yes, we are," Veronica laughed, "Archie-kins is our escort."

"If that's the case," Ara grinned, "call me. We can get ready at my place. I got you guys covered on the full makeover. And if you'd like, we can go shopping for dresses after school."

Betty smiled at her close friend and Veronica quickly said, "yes! Yes, that sounds amazing! We are totally going to do that. Right, Betty?"

"Yeah," the blonde girl said in her soft voice, which was the complete opposite of the raven-haired girl.

"Awesome," Arabella grinned, "my house when you're ready. We'll go to the mini mall then Pop's after."

The coach blew the whistle to dismiss to team to the locker rooms but the girls were oblivious to the noise until Eric ran up to Arabella and slung an arm over her shoulder.

"Hey, I'm gonna clean up real quick and then we'll go," he smiled exhaustingly, looking down at the dark-brunette-haired girl.

"M'kay," the girl said dreamily, only noticing she sounded like that after she replied. Eric grinned cheekily before his attention moved to the two girls who were in awe.

"Ladies," he acknowledged with a nod and a smirk. His cheeky and charming personality was a hit with the ladies, so when he asked Arabella to the dance, she hid it well (in her opinion), but there were butterflies bursting in her stomach.

After the two girls said 'hi' back, the blonde boy ran in the direction of the locker rooms, catching up with the rest of his new team.

Squealing with excitement, the Veronica took Ara's hands in her's. "Oh. My. God. Tell us everything."

"Well, there's not much to tell," the girl smiled slightly, but the pink on her cheeks were prominent.

"Girl, please," Veronica scoffed playfully, "you are literally dating Prince Charming. There has to be something."

"Oh!" Betty exclaimed. Her eyebrows danced when she asked, "where are you guys going later?"

Arabella rolled her eyes playfully and said confidently, "he just invited me over his house for a movie."

The two girl's grins widened as they looked between each other then back at Arabella.

"So, I assume you are definitely getting some today?" Veronica taunted, excited for her friend.

Arabella laughed sarcastically, "definitely not. This is only the first date."

The thing that Eric wanted to do was take Arabella on a date before they actually went to the dance together. She didn't really know why, but she accepted anyways.

"What?!" Veronica exclaimed in shock, "your first date with him?!"

"It's not that big of a deal," Ara laughed.

"Okay, no," Veronica said, stopping their walk along the track, "it is a huge deal. This is your first date with you possible future husband... and we're going to help you get ready."

Because the two girls didn't really have a lot of time to do a head-to-toe glamorous makeover on Arabella due to not really knowing when Eric would come out of the locker rooms, they just did her hair in a braid and touched up her bronzer. Only Veronica would have a mini makeup set in her bag.

"You are a masterpiece," the raven-haired girl said, whipping her angled brush around like a magic wand, "even without the makeup."

"You look beautiful, Ara," Betty smiled at her best friend.

"You guys are literally the best," Ara said, hugging the two before the sound of the locker room door swung open, revealing Eric as the first one out. "And I've gotta split!" She exclaimed.

While the two girl's gave her a thumbs up, she walked over to Eric and embraced him in a shy hug.

"Hey," he smiled, "you ready?"

Arabella nodded and took his hand in her's. The tall boy smiling down at Queen as the two walked to the parking lot. Also seeing Archie, who was on his way home, the two waved to the ginger-haired boy before he waved back.

The date was exciting for Arabella because from what she's seen in movies, everything pointed out that this boy was most likely the dream guy that every girl wanted. It was almost like he was a fictional character; too perfect to even exist.

This boy was even better than Prince Charming; he was like a genuine King.

But right now, Queen wasn't complaining because she was too blinded by the admiration that she was recieving from him.

Hell, the boy even held his rusty, white Jeep door open for her as she took a seat in the passenger's side. She thanked him with smile and nod, before he ran across the car and hopped in the driver's seat.

The two sat on the couch in front of Eric's television, shyly sitting close to each other, but not at the point of actually being close.

There were moments when Arabella would steal a glance of Eric and Eric would do the same to Arabella.

The medium volume of the movie that played in the background was what Ara attempted to focus on, but she couldn't.

That moment, that one moment when the two looked at each other at the same time; it was almost like a gut feeling of what they needed to do. The two teenagers leaned in for their lips to meet, but Arabella stopped herself. This wasn't right, this wasn't perfect. She wanted it to be perfect.

Then again, there was a spark, a surge of excitement that got to Arabella that took both of them by surprise.

Queen went for it. She had the open opportunity and she didn't see a reason not to take it.

Leaning in a lot quicker this time, Arabella cupped Eric's jaw in one hand and let their lips meet.

This may not have been the young Queen's first kiss, which she had with Archie, but it definitely made her feel different than when she did it with the ginger-haired boy; it was better.

So much better.
