Arabella literally jumped from her seat when she saw Jughead coming out from an interrogation room with Betty by his side.

"Oh my god, guys," the young Queen whispered to herself before embracing her two friends in a warm hug.

Whole-heartedly, Arabella had let out a large gasp of breath she didn't know she was holding, at the feeling of her friend no longer being held in a small room for something he didn't do.

It was almost like Arabella's heart was yearning to embrace one of the few people that didn't hate her.

"Are you okay, Jug?" The girl sighed, pulling out of the embrace she was in.

The black-haired boy nodded awkwardly and shoved his hands in his front pockets, not really knowing what to say to his friends.

Arabella had already made up her mind, though, that Jughead was going to come straight back to her house with her and her mother.

"Jughead, sweetheart," Melanie Queen smiled softly before cupping his cheeks with her hands and kissing the top of his head where his beanie was sitting.

"I'm okay, Miss Queen," Jughead sighed, subtly wiping away a stray tear that escaped, hoping that none of his friends noticed.

The older woman nodded with a struggled smile. "We'll go home, yeah?" She asked looking between Arabella and Jughead.

Melanie's daughter smiled back with optimism. "Yeah!" The girl exclaimed.

Betty smiled along with Arabella as the group of kids, Melanie, and Fred Andrews exited the police station quickly, not wanting anything else to come up.

But upon descending the old metal stairs that welcomed guests to the building, everyone in group heard the black-haired boy's name being shouted from in front of them.

Melanie Queen was the first to look up at the source due to the fact that she already knew the voice.

There, rushing to see his son, was FP Jones.

"Sorry," he apologized, "my phone died... had no battery. What the hell happened?"

Melanie Queen stiffened her posture and opened her mouth to tell off her former boyfriend, but her daughter stopped her, not wanting to cause a fight.

"Nothing. It's fine now," Jughead answered. "Ms. Queen and Mr. Andrews took care of it."

FP's eyes shifted between his former love and his former friend before landing on his son once again.

"What jacked-up crap did they accuse you of in there?" FP asked, his tone of voice slowly heightening. "Those bastards trying to throw you in jail like they did your old man?... Well, screw that!"

FP charged towards the entrance, but Fred tried stopped him.

"FP, settle down!" He shouted as the man fought against his touch.

"Hey! This is my son, he is my son, Fred!" FP shouted, obviously internally trying to convince himself that he needs to be a better father.

"Then why weren't you here when he needed you most?!" Melanie finally interrupted to move the tension to herself, not wanting anyone to get hurt.

FP turned to face the woman, he once smiled at so much, with anger prominent. "You're my second hand, Melanie! You be there when I can't! That's what being a godmother to my son means."

Arabella's eyes widened at the news and Jughead just looked at his best friend.

"Godmother?" Arabella asked with shock and confusion morphed into one. But everyone ignored her reaction.
