The semiformal was tonight and the three girls were more than ready to dance their hearts away with whomever they pleased.
When Betty and Veronica arrived to Arabella's house like the three girls planned, they walked up a long walkway to a large mansion that was hidden behind a series of thin trees. The Mediterranean-styled home was the most expensive in all of Riverdale and it was currently lit up like a Christmas tree from almost every outdoor light being on.
It was so beautiful that Veronica was even impressed.
But they were currently in Arabella's bedroom with one of the many songs on her phone playing loudly on her speaker. Veronica was applying blush to her cheeks in the connected bathroom while the young Queen applied mascara onto Betty's lashes and sang along to the song.
"So," Veronica began, "Ara. What time is Prince Charming picking you up?"
Arabella smiled at her friend's question, remembering the date that they had. "Uh," she began, "seven-thirty I'm sure; he wanted to be early. But you could never be too sure with boys. They tend to lose track of time quickly."
Still looking down at Betty, now brushing her hair, Ara continued by saying, "we would know. We grew up with Archie: The King of Being Late. Right, Betty?"
The Square girl didn't answer her friend; she actually seemed to be lost in thought as she stared at the lit up heart-shaped art above Arabella's bed.
"Betty?" The young Queen tried again to get her friend's attention, finally receiving it. "You okay?"
She nodded with a nervous looking smile and almost automatically, Ara could tell what was up.
"That's a lie. What's going on?" She asked, this time with more hope that Betty would answer her.
Betty looked between her friends, trying to suppress herself from expressing her feelings, but she ultimately sighed and deeply and said shakily, "I'm nervous."
Veronica and Arabella looked at each other then back at Betty with furrowed eyebrows. "About what?" Veronica asked, crossing her arms over her chest concerningly.
Betty smiled slightly from nerves before replying with a shaky, "I'm gonna tell Archie."
The smiles on Veronica and Arabella's face lit up when their blonde friend told them the good news.
"Betty, you son of a bitch!" Ara exclaimed with happiness. The young Queen grabbed her friend's hands and shook them rapidly, but not harshly. "You've totally got this!"

The new couple, Eric and Arabella, walked into the over-decorated gymnasium of their school with their arms laced together. Their eyes scanning over the balloons, streamers, and pictures of Jason Blossom; giving Arabella an off feeling.
"Huh," she mumbled low enough to herself so her date wouldn't hear, "I forgot he was dead."
While they walked into the party atmosphere, Archie with Veronica and Betty on each arm strided in behind them.
But Arabella wasn't one-hundred percent paying attention to them right now. She just wanted to dance with Eric the entire night and she was sure that's what he wanted to do as well.
It wasn't long into the night when Cheryl Blossom walked onto the small stage that was set up, and gave a short speech to introduce the schools number one and only band: Josie and the Pussycats.
