Dean was dropping me off at my house now, it wasn't that late but it was later than dad said he wanted me home for. He said he needed to talk to me about something very important and that Gabe needed to be there too. "Text me to let me know everything is alright" he said "okay, thank you" I gave him a kiss and got out of the car.

I walked inside and the first thing I heard was Gabe's girlfriend, Brianna, slightly crying. Oh god, more drama. I thought

"What's going on?" I asked coming into the room they were all in
"Sit" dad said. I sat on the couch across from Gabe and Brianna, dad was on the side, but on another couch.
"As you know I've been working on a new book" he started "it's going great so far, but someone came in contact with me and they said they would like me to work with them. The problem with that it's in London. We have to move"
My heart sunk
"I can't move, dad. I'm finally happy with who I am and who my friends are. Dad, I finally have the perfect boyfriend. The only person besides family that's ever shown he's cared about me. I can't move" I whispered the last part but I know they all heard it
"I agree with him, dad. We can't move, we have a life here. We can't just start a new one down in London. We grew up here"
Dad looked back and forth between us
"Unless you can pay for this place yourself, I'm afraid that we have no choice"
"Dad, I'm happy for you, I am. You've come so far in your career, but right now isn't a good time for me to leave. I don't want to, I can't" I told him "I'll get a job and I'll make some money, so will Gabe, and if it turns out we can't take care of ourselves then we'll go to London with you, is that okay?" I asked

He sighed once again "yes. I'll help you get started. But I leave next week. I'm sorry for this"
"Dad, don't be sorry, we're proud of you" Gabe smiled and hugged dad. I hugged him after "he's right, and even if we live further apart, we'll still be there for the best father ever"
This time dad smiled at us "thanks guys. I love you both"
"Love you too" Gabe and I said together

I went up to me room and plugged my phone in and hopped in the shower. I'm proud of dad, he's come so far with writing and he has many fans that love him and as much as I would absolutely love to go to London, I can't right now. I need to finish highschool and I can't deal with that much change.

I finished up in the shower and texted Dean like he had asked me to

Me:
Hey, everything is fine

Dean:
Good. Anything happen?

Me:
I'll talk to you about it tomorrow when you come over

Dean:
Alright, baby

I went down stairs and seen dad watching a movie "want popcorn?"
"Yeah, sure" he called, without looking away from the screen. I made popcorn and poured us some soda.
I sat on the couch next to him and watched the movie with him. It was a chill night and Gabe was upstairs with Bri. "Hey dad?" He turned to look at me and he hummed, getting me to continue on with what I had to say "I'm proud of you, you're a great father and I hope you accomplish your goals down in London. I'm sorry I can't go with you" he looked at me and patted my leg a couple times. I don't know why they do that but parents always seem to do that one action
"It's okay Castiel, I know how much you're afraid of change. I'd prefer you stay home anyway, it'll be too hard on you and I know you'll be safe here with Gabriel"

After that we didn't really speak much, just watched the rest of the movie. I like times like this, just me and dad. I miss it
