Alyssa's POV, Tuesday 14th, June. 2:50 pm
"You fucking mind?!?" I snapped at the annoying lil' bitch who tried to trip my while I was trying to walk down the school hallway that was crowded with teenagers.
"Sorry, I didn't see," the boy, named Ryan apologized. I knew this 12th grade asshole well enough to know that he wasn't sorry and that it was just a joke. I glared at his other asshole friends who stood behind against the brown lockers him snickering like a pack of wild hyenas.
"Well how 'bout I help you out," I offered, "To open your fucking eyes!" I yelled the insult in the loud hallway, which seemed to echo off the halls and students.
"Oh fuck!" One of the other idiots behind him screamed at my insult.
I raised my eyebrow at Ryan as I walked away calmly like a fucking badass. All I needed was some nice kick-ass sunglasses and a wicked fiery explosion happening in the background and this would be the perfect roast.
Last two weeks of school and I'm still a fucking bad ass. I smiled and thought to myself whilst walking down the hallway smirking as others watched at the incident that just happened. 11th grade was easy and hard at the same time. Hard being the amount of homework we always got (even though the amounts were reduced since it was the middle of June and close to the end of the school year) and how many assholes ruled this school. Easy being that I was a total savage and would give straight up sass to anyone who fucked around with me too much. Just like my idol, I had sass. (If you get that reference, I love you.)

I stepped out of the still crowded school with my heavy bag sagging down on my back into the fresh summer air that smelt like fresh cut grass (even though all the grass here is basically all dead.) It was supposed to be hot out here and it was, the fact that no puffy clouds were hanging in the blue sky made it that much hotter. After all, it was Arizona, you'd really expect it to be somewhat temperate even it gets as hot as 35 Fahrenheit here. Maybe even hotter. Despite the bright sun that felt like it was burning through my all-black clothes, I was actually feeling fine. I needed a drink of water, but I was fine. Up ahead from my standing place I saw what looked to be my friends standing about 30 feet away on the edge of school property under a tall tree in the shade. I walked up a little closer and recognized the heads of colourful hair and walked up towards them. When I was about five feet away, all 12 heads turned around and smiled.
"Hey," I greeted smiling.
"Hello," they all greeted.
I walked over to the tree and leaned on it with my shoulder against the bark.
"You have homework?" One of them, Ashley, asked me.
"A bit,"
"Great. Wanna come to my house after school to work on it?" She asked me, her brown eyes sparkling.
"Yeah. I'm always able to go. I just have to be home by 6:00," I smiled at her.
I've been friends with the twelve of them since grade seven. I moved here from northern Canada (Alberta, to be exact,) and quickly became friends with all of them. Although I missed my friends back in Canada, I loved my new friends in Arizona. Ashley was probably the first person I became friends with, she was really nice to me and we liked the same types of music and gay ships. She soon introduced me to her other friends, Christina who has long black hair with red strands, Zach with his stupid sex jokes and skinny frame, Max with his drum set and immaturity, Danielle with her pastel pink hair and athletic body, Brian with his jawline, Heathers purple hair and long nails, Alex's six pack, Nicole's ocean blue hair, Rafe and his weirdly big hands, Ben and his talent for art. Needless to say, they were pretty edgy but we all just got along so well with each other. And here we are now, grade eleven. It really doesn't feel like I've know them for four and a half years, I feel like I've known them my whole life. And I love that. And the best part was that we all understood each other, we all go through somewhat similar things and their all open minded and all respect each other's opinions. Although, we've had a couple of arguments, but they were resolved.
"So should we get going?" Ashley asked me, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Sure," I nodded.
"Oh and I'm bringing Rafe with us," she smiled and nodded over to her boyfriend who was talking to the other guys.
I walked over to Ashley and we began to walk off the school property on the wide gravel path, waving to the ones behind us.
"Alyssa, I was there when you roasted that kid, ya know," Rafe turned to me, his dyed red hair glistened in the sun.
"Actually?"
"Yeah, you should've stayed longer. His girlfriend walked right up to him, slapped him and broke up with him,"
"Why?" I asked happily.
"Apparently it was something about cheating on her with some other slutty chick,"
"Damn! I think I totally ruined the day for him then!" I laughed sarcastically.
"Yeah. You totally did! Just, he might try to revenge on you, so watch yourself," Rafe warned. His voice changed menacingly.
"Your probably right."
"Yeah, remember what happened to that freshman, Tony?" Ashley asked adding on.
"Oh yeah..." I trailed off.
The famous story of Tony Hamilton was the new topic of the month a few months ago: It all happened on the 9th of March, Tony Hamilton (a nerdy freshman,) was doing his science project that he worked oh so hard on, when he went to his locker (which didn't have a lock on it,) and put his USB with his whole science project on it in his locker. So the next day, when Tony was sick, Ryan decided to be a fucking dickhead and took the USB from Tony's locker with no one looking, took it home with him and his friends and replaced all that valuable information with porn. And not just any porn, gay porn. But it wasn't like it was pictures, the science project information was still on there but when you clicked on the video... Yeah, you already guessed it. So the next day, when Tony had to present, he got the embarrassment of his life. Everyone laughed, everyone teased, everyone called him names. Everyone knew it wasn't him, they knew it was Ryan. But they let it slide and let Tony get suspended.
"Tough to be that innocent," Rafe shook his head and stared down at his boots while walking.
"What do you mean?" I questioned him, looking into his amber eyes that shone in the sun brightly.
"Innocent kid. They target those kinds of people. People who they know will get the blame even though they're not guilty,"
"Well that's the way it is, right? Probably never going to change," Ashley assumed from all the other incidences.
"Yeah."
Everything went quiet after that.
It's scary to think like that, how people are just targeted like that. The most naïve people get treated like that. Everyone knows, yet they don't care. That really lead me to wonder on if they'd ever blame or do something to me that'd scar me for life, I mean, I'm not naïve like that but some tricks I do fall for. Those people can lie, they can lie good. And sometimes you can't even see through it. It's like looking into the distance on a foggy night, you can't tell what's ahead, but you have somewhat of an idea.
