The winter break had come and gone, and it was the second week of school back. Something had seemed a little off, however, and as Michio stood by his locker in the morning he couldn't help but think about that. He couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong, but he just had a constant sinking feeling. It may have come from the fact that Orochi hadn't showed up to school since before the break, but then again, it wasn't abnormal for him to skip school.

"Michio! Hey!" The blond was soon broken from his thoughts as Satchiko skipped over to him. She was wearing the same pink cat hoodie that she'd worn during the first day of school, before they had their uniforms.

"Hey, Satchiko." Michio replied, turning to face the strawberry blonde.

"Let's go to class! Don't wanna be late!" Satchiko exclaimed, and Michio rolled his eyes.

"You really have no sense of time... there's still fifteen minutes before class." He replied, being successful in ruffling her hair this time.

"Michio, c'mon~!" Satchiko whined, attempting to put her hair back in place. "Why's everyone always doing this to me...? It's torture, really."

Michio laughed a bit. "You're short and cute and it's easy. That's why."

The guitar player suddenly felt something furry touch his cheek, and he quickly moved away from it- too quickly, as he hit against his locker.

Kaiya laughed a bit, pulling the white kitten in her hands close to her. "That's what you get for flirting with my girlfriend!"

"You brought Maneki!" Satchiko exclaimed with a smile, and Kaiya nodded, handing her the kitten.

"He missed you~." Kaiya replied, giving Satchiko a small kiss on the cheek.

"Okay, going to class..." Michio said, escaping the admittedly adorable gay couple. The two girls didn't seem to mind.

Once Michio got to the classroom, he went and sat at his desk. A few people were already there, but he didn't pay them much mind. That was before Akio decided to burst into the room on his skateboard, obviously trying to make a dramatic entrance. Though seeing none of his friends were there, he just awkwardly rode in circles around a desk.

Soon, Ichiko arrived, looking pretty depressed. She sat at her desk, face in her hands. Michio couldn't help but be curious, so he listened in when Akio asked her what was up.

"Mai just rejected me..." Ichiko said quietly with a sigh. "She said she likes someone else...."

"Ouch..." Akio muttered. "Well, at least you finally got the courage to ask her out!"

"Actually she found out on her own somehow that I liked her... I dunno how she could've guessed!" Ichiko exclaimed, and Michio just rolled his eyes. You shout it out everywhere, that's how... then again, it is Mai.

Satchiko and Kaiya then walked through the door, hands interlocked. Of course, Satchiko being Satchiko rushed over to Ichiko and started trying her best to cheer her up. Slowly, everyone else entered the class, except for one person. Orochi.

The school day had officially started, and Mitsuo stood at the front of the class with a small frown on his face. Michio quickly caught onto the icy blue haired man's worried expression, and could easily guess why it was so.

Mitsuo cleared his throat, surveying the class and adjusting his glasses. "I'm guessing that still no one knows where Sato is."

"He hasn't responded to my texts..." Akio said, "It better not be 'cause of anything severe."

Mitsuo gave a small nod. "I contacted his parents last night, and they haven't heard from him either. Apparently his sister is gone too, so I'm sure you all understand my concern...."

"The idiot probably got himself lost somewhere." Natsumi said with a shrug.

"Whatever's going on with him, he's my student, so it's my responsibility to make sure he's safe." Mitsuo said, looking over each of the students. "Which is why I want your help. Today I'd like us to all search the school ground in groups, just in case he's somewhere around here."

"I don't think anyone really cares about Orochi. He's pretty stupid." Tomi said, tilting his head.

"Shut up Uyeda, this could make for a great story!" Natsumi scoffed. "Worried students search for their missing classmate, not the most interesting, but it could pull at the heartstrings of uninvolved readers~!"

"This is only about finding Sato and making sure he's safe." Mitsuo responded, before letting out a small sigh. "But you can write about it if you really want to, Kato-san."

With that, the class split up into groups.
