Chapter 4

(Sonic's POV) 

I would slowly get out of bed,hearing my phone ring.

I would run to the phone,It was my mom! She wants me to come to a party she's having! 

"Awesome! Thanks mom! Can i bring a guest?" I asked her,holding the phone in my left hand. 

"Oh,Sure! I don't mind. The party will be at 5 PM. Don't be late,sweetie!" She said,in a sweet and loving voice. She then hung up.

I would walk into Shadow's room. He was still asleep.  "I should probably wake him!" I would walk to him. He looked so peaceful in his sleep...It's adorable! I chuckled as i blushed. I then shook Shadow a tiny bit. "Shadow...Wake up!" I said in a cheery tone. 

He would open his eyes. "Faker,What do you want?" He would get up and rubbed his eyes.

"Sorry to wake you,Shadz! But,I got a call from my mom! She wants me to go to a party she's hosting!" I said to him as he stretched his arms out.

"Alright. Go then. I'm not stopping you." He said,looking at me.

I would give him a child-like pout. "You're coming with me!" I held his hand,giving a small smile. " It'll be fun! You'll get to meet my mom and siblings!" 

Shadow looked at his hand,then at me. "...Fine. I got nothing else to do. What time do we go?"

"She said at 5 PM! I don't think we have to wear anything fancy! I don't even have fancy clothes anyway!" I said,looking at the clock,It was around 3 PM. 

(Sonic's mom/Queen Aleena's POV)

I would smile,looking around the ballroom. I would adjust my crown and my dress to my liking. Everything was perfect! 

There was purple streamers all around,followed by a different colors of balloons. The maids and butlers were bringing in food. I soon saw my loving daughter,Sonia walk in.

She would be wearing her normal clothes,I didn't recommend any fancy attire for anyone. I just wanted everyone happy! 

"Hi Mom! Sorry if i'm late! Manic said he is coming soon! Did you tell Sonic about the party too?" She asked me as she tilted her head. 

I would giggle. "I did! Sonic is coming soon. He said he is bringing someone!" 

Sonia would sigh. "Maybe it's a girl! But,how did he of all people even get a girl?" She said,jokingly. 

"Sonic is perfectly capable of getting a girl,Sonia. It might be a friend. He did sound happy about bringing the person though! Maybe it is a girl!" I exclaimed. 

"Well,Whoever Sonic is bringing they better not ruin the house!" She said,looking around. "The party does look great!""

We both walked around,as people began to show up. We both greeted everyone who walked in. Manic was here and so was everyone else. Expect Sonic.

(Sonic's POV)

The time would now be 4:40 PM,We both had 20 minutes to get there!

"Come on Shadz! I'll carry you there!" I would grab his hand.

"I do not need to be carried." Shadow said coldly. 

I would pout. "C'mon! We got 20 minutes!" I said,picking him up. 

"...Fine. If you wish." Shadow said to me,his face was showing that he was clearly annoyed.

We both ran to the party. I let Shadow down and held his hand with my left hand. (By the way,he doesn't have his bandage on anymore.)

We both walked in the ballroom. The party looked amazing! I would see my Mom and smiled. "Hey Mom!" I walked to her,waving my hand.

My mom would look at me. "Hello. Is this your guest?" She asked,pointing to my left hand. 

"Yeah! Don't worry. He's awesome!" I said,looking at Shadow.

My mom giggled,she sounded nervous. Shadow would look around the room. "This place is very nice,Your highness."

My mom would look at Shadow with a smile. "Oh! Thank you!"

Sonia would come behind Sonic and tapped his shoulder. "Sonic! There you are. Can we talk real quick? Alone?" She would ask.

I would look at her. "Oh! Sure! I'll be back Shadow!" I would let go of Shadow's hand.

Me and Sonia walked outside the ballroom and into the nearby garden. "Sonic,I noticed you holding that guy's hand." She said.

I would look confused. "Yeah..? So?" 

Sonia sighed sadly. "Sonic...I know you haven't been here in years but..that type of....relationship is scarce here. I don't recommend you holding his hand anymore. It will weird people out."

I would look at her,i was clearly heartbroken by this news. "So what if it is? Shadow doesn't mind it!"

"I'm just warning you. Shadow and you might get some dirty looks." She said slowly,trying not to get me sad. "If i could change that,I would. Sorry,Sonic" She looked saddened. 

"I know you're just trying to keep me safe. But,I don't mind getting funny looks from people!" I would chuckle,trying to cheer myself up. "Well,I gotta go back to Shadow! See ya!" I would run back to Shadow. 

"Hey Shadow! Did you miss me?" I asked him.

"You weren't gone long. It was a bit lonely but,it doesn't matter." He said,crossing his arms.

"So you did miss me? I knew it!" I blushed as i laughed. 

Shadow was blushing too. "Faker. People are staring." He looked around,seeing a few Mobians looking at us,also unfolding his arms.

Sonic saw this too. "So? Let me stare! It doesn't bug me!"

Shadow looked at me. "What is with you?"

"In fact,if they want to stare,I'll give them something to look at!" I would grab Shadow's hands and leaned in closer to Shadow's face

Shadow's muzzle was more red. "Faker,What are you doing..?" 

I would smile happily. "Well,they're looking,aren't they?"

"I suppose but.." Shadow was interrupted by me.

I would put my lips up against Shadow's. I finally kissed him! That will show them!

We kissed for about 30 seconds. I looked at everyone

Everyone was shocked as they all gasped. 

Even my mom saw. She was the most shocked.

Shit..!

Then, whole ballroom was quiet.
