WHOOSH!
was heard as i dashed around,doing my daily run. I ran until,i saw Shadow. I prefer to think of him as my best friend! I know he thinks so too,He just won't admit it! I have no idea why but,I've been thinking of Shadow a lot more. I'm pretty sure it's because we are getting close! At least,I think..Ah! There he is now!
I would stop in my tracks,seeing Shadow. I waved at him,smiling. " Hey,Shadz! " I said cheerfully.
He would stare at me with his red crimson eyes. "The hell do you want,Faker? Shouldn't you be running or something?" He would unfold his crossed arms.
I would rub my nose and smirked,in a friendly way. "Well,I want to hang out today!"
"Out of all days, you want to hang out now? Why with me? Are you planning to fight? Not in the mood." He asked.
"C'mon Shadz! Please hang out with me! We are friends after-all!" I would say,happily,holding his hands.
"I would prefer not to,Faker." He would say in a harsh tone,pulling his own hands away.
"We may be getting closer,but you are certainly not my friend." He would say coldly,as he began to walk off from me.
"Shadow...Ha! You're kidding! We've been friends for years!" I would dash towards him,blocking his way.
"Faker,What is with you? You're always try so hard to be my..friend. Explain yourself." He crossed his arms.

(Present Day)
(Shadow's POV)
This party is so damn boring. Everyone is happy for that Faker.
I'm not.
He considers me his 'friend'. Why,Out of all the people does he consider me as such?
I would stare at the clock,It would be 9:00 PM at night.
"Why the hell did i come to his party again..?" I sighed to myself,having my back against the wall.
"All these people are so happy...I guess i should be happy for them. But,they'll soon lose that happiness. So,What's the point?"
He closed his eyes.
(Flashback)
We would both stand in a brightly lit room,it had a lot of strange decorations. Along with a sign saying,
<HAPPY BIRTHDAY!>
"Shadow! Today's my birthday! Do you know what people do on birthdays?" The sweet voice of Maria Robotnik asked,she was wearing some sort of strange hat on her head,looking around.
"No. I do not. Explain." I said to her,keeping a emotionless face.
"Well,On birthdays,It's celebrating when the person is born! Like,today! It kind of a yearly thing! You tell them happy birthday and give them gifts! Normally when the person's having a birthday,they get cake and all other good treats! Also,the person makes a wish,It can be anything!" She smiled as she explained.
I would look around the room. "Thank you for the explanation,Maria."
"You want to know what i would wish for?" She asked,tilting her head to me.
I looked at her,giving my attention. "Huh? Yes,I would like to know ."
She gave a smile,hugging me. "I would wish to go to earth with you! I know it's a silly request,but,i would like to go there."
"Maria... When is the time for a wish to be fulfilled?" I would ask in a serious tone.
" How long? Well,It just happens whenever faith wants it to happen! " She would look out the window,looking at the earth. " Why do you ask? "
"...I plan to fulfill your wish." I would look outside the window along with her.
She would giggle. "Alright! We can do it later! For now,Let's enjoy our day together! " She held my hands as we walked to a table.
We ate this so called 'cake' and had a pretty good time,as much as i hate to admit.
It was the time for gifts. I would look around as General Robotnik motioned me to see him.
I obeyed as i walked to him,He gave me a box and order me to give it to Maria. I didn't plan to but,It was his orders so i did as such.
She opened it and her eyes beamed with joy. "Oh,Shadow! I love it!" She showed a teddy bear in front of me,it had a small bow on it's neck.
She embraced me in her arms. "Thank you,Shadow! I'll cherish it forever!" She said cheerfully.
(END OF FLASHBACK)
