Tarrlok was sitting on his sofa, kissing Seisha. Her lips tasted like strawberries and sugar, and he never wanted to stop kissing her.

"Tarrlok," said Seisha, pulling away suddenly. "I have to ask you something."

Disappointed, Tarrlok said, "What's wrong?"

Seisha took a deep breath. "Well...I just wanted to know if you knew anything about what happened to my father."

"Your father?" Uh-oh. Tarrlok was busted. "Well, what do you think happened to your father?"

Seisha shook her head and shrugged. "My sister Shyla and I think our mom killed him."

Tarrlok felt dizzy. "Your-your sister?!"

"You didn't know I had a sister?" asked Seisha, looking confused. "I have a little sister named Shyla."

"No," breathed Tarrlok. "No."

"What?" Seisha's eyes narrowed. "Are you okay?"

"No!" Tarrlok suddenly shouted. "Shyla is your sister?!"

"Yes!" said Seisha. "What's the matter with you? You're acting strange, you know."

Tarrlok fell to the ground. "NOOOO! Not Shyla! NOOOOOOOOOO!"

Seisha jumped up. "Tarrlok! What on the bent Earth are you doing?!"

"Just go!" Tarrlok screamed. "Leave! I never want to see you again! Just GO!"

Seisha let out a wail and fell on top of him, sobbing. "But I love you! Can't you see we're meant for each other? You're everything to me!"

"I can't be with you if you're a sister of Shyla!" yelled Tarrlok, shaking her off of him. "Shyla's a psychotic, irritable little PRICK!"

"What?!"

"It's true!"

Seisha grabbed a metalbending pillar and struck the glass coffee table. The glass shattered into a million pieces.

"What did you do THAT for?!" Tarrlok screamed, standing up.

Seisha let out a long screech and bolted for the door. She yanked it open and was gone in a split second.

What have I done? Tarrlok thought.

His true love was gone. She had left him. And the thing that really bothered him the most was that Shyla Bei Fong had managed to ruin everything for him again.

When Tarrlok had finally calmed down, he went to Republic City. He needed to find Seisha and apologize to her. He was sure she hated him now, but he knew he needed to try to make amends after the way he'd treated her. He cringed at his words: "I never want to see you again!" He had to find her. Just had to. If he didn't apologize soon, she'd never forgive him.

As he walked through the streets of Republic City, he had another thought: Shyla was the cause for all this pain. She needed to be gone. But how could he get rid of her without killing her? If he killed Seisha's sister, Seisha would definitely hate him, and possibly kill him. But he'd rather be dead than have Seisha mad at him. That's how much he loved her. Tarrlok walked faster now, more desperate than ever to find Seisha. When he saw her by the macaroni stand, he practically flew towards her. "Seisha!"

She turned, looking startled to see him. Then she closed her eyes and turned right back around.

Tarrlok rushed over. "Seisha! Seisha, I'm so dreadfully sorry for the way I acted towards you. I just want-"

"Don't bother," said Seisha simply, still not looking at him. She continued picking through the boxes of macaroni on the stand.

"Seisha," Tarrlok said. "Baby." He touched her arm. "I'm sorry. I have been a terrible boyfriend. I love you."

She shrugged away from him. "Too late. You've pushed me out of your life forever." Then she grabbed a box of macaroni and walked away.

Tarrlok sighed, defeated. But he wasn't ready to give up just yet. He walked towards her again. He grabbed her shoulders and turned her to face him. She gasped. "Tarrlok!"

"Listen to me, Seisha," said Tarrlok. "I overreacted today. I hate how I acted towards you. You can't help it that you're the sister of Shyla. I don't get along with her, but I'm deeply sorry for screaming at you. I can hardly believe how angry I got."

Seisha took a deep breath and sighed. "I don't know, Tarrlok," she said, removing his hands from her shoulders. And she walked away again, this time out of sight. Tarrlok took a deep breath. This wasn't over.
