Alex's POV
"Wake up! Wake up!" I awoke to Lafayette shaking me by the shoulders. "Dude," I muttered, sitting up. "What are you even doing in me and John's dorm?" Hercules woke up John. "It's shopping day! Remember?" I rubbed my eyes, "What time is it even?" John, waking up, pushed me out of bed, giggling. His messy bed head was so cute. Lafayette pulled me to my feet, "This is gonna be so much fun! We're going to the mall!"

It was 10:00 by the time we'd all eaten breakfast and piled into Hercules' old car. Lafayette, riding shotgun, put on his favorite music, a musical called Miranda (BAHAHAHA). John and I sat in the backseat. I played candy crush, John braided my hair into pigtails. I smiled as he help up his phone for me to see his handiwork. "I look five!" I laughed. "No," John said, "You look three."

We pulled into the parking lot at the mall. "So where are we gonna go?" "I wanna go to PetCo," John said. He wanted to go to there every time to see the turtles. "I know Hercules wants to go pants shopping." "And I know we need more cereal," I said. "Hamilton," John said to me playfully, "Why do you have to be so responsible and practical." Realizing that I still had the pigtails in, I unwavering them, my hair left wavy by the braids. John faked offense. "So," Lafayette said, herding us towards the mall entrance, "Let's go buy cereal first." John giggled a little.

We stepped into the grocery store and were greeted by the sight of Thomas Jefferson filling his shopping cart with boxes of mac 'n cheese. Literally filled. "Oh hey, Alex," he said, smirking, "What brings you to this humble Trader Joe's? Is it not too lowly for such a monarch as yourself? After all, that debt plan really is just for your own personal gain is it not?" I took a step towards him. John held onto my shoulder, whispering, "Let it go, Alex." Lafayette, coming up behind me, placed a hand on my other shoulder, "Let's go." We walked out without our cereal.

"He's such a jerk," I muttered. John playfully grabbed my hand and kissed my cheek, bringing an instant smile to my face. "Whatever." John pointed to a sweatshirt on the racks of the clothing store, "This kinda looks like your style." I picked up the sweater, "I guess." I looked over at Lafayette and Hercules. They were browsing pants. "Oh, look at these ones, mon ami," said Lafayette. "They look hot," replied Hercules, oh-so-subtly-actually-kinda-obviously touching Lafayette's butt. Damn, do those two ever stop flirting? John, seemingly thinking the same thing, said, "Hey, wanna leave those two lovebirds to themselves and head over to PetCo?" I smiled, putting my arm around him, "You know what? You read my mind."

I knew exactly what John wanted to look at as soon as we stepped into PetCo. He took my hand and practically skipped over to the turtle exhibit. I watched him, staring with wonder in his eyes at the turtles, and I wondered how I had been blessed with such an incredible boyfriend. "You know what's really cute," asked John, probably wanting to share some fact about  turtles. I placed both of my arms around him and looked into his eyes, "You?" He blushed, "Well that's not what I was going to say but..." and suddenly we were kissing in the cat toy isle of PetCo. Damn, how'd I get to be his boyfriend?

Aaaa sorry that one was kinda short and trash but hey, so am I haha
