Vic's POV
"Hey Vic," Kellin said, walking into the room.
I looked up from my phone, "Yeah?"
"I'm not feeling too good," he told me. "I think I'm just gonna go take a quick nap."
"Okay, yell if you need me alright?"
He nodded and kissed my cheek before going back into our room. That's when I heard the thud.
"Kellin?" I yelled, getting up quickly and heading to our room, "Kells?"
I stepped into the room to find him on the ground, panic flooded my heart in that moment. Not again, this couldn't be happening again. He had been doing good.
I kneeled by him, "Kellin?" I said shaking him a little while I grabbed my phone out calling 911.
Once I gave them the information, I sat back on me knees and held his head in my lap, trying to get him to wake up.
"Kellin, please wake up."
I continued trying to wake him up until the moment the ambulance arrived and packed him onto the gurney.
"Is he gonna be okay?" I asked them, following them out of the building.
"We're not for sure yet, Sir, we'll let you know," one of them answered.
"I'm going with you," I said.
He nodded and let me on the ambulance.
"His blood pressure is through the roof," one of the paramedics stated as they all got to work on Kellin.
"And?"
"That's not good, how far along is he?"
"Seven and a half months," I said, running my hand through my hair.
He nodded and went on doing his thing.
Soon, we arrived to the hospital and I found myself pacing the hallway in front of Kellin's room as the doctors worked to figure out what was wrong with him. He had to be okay and so did the baby. I couldn't handle life without either of them. I sighed and bit my nail as I paced, if they weren't okay, I wouldn't know what to do.
Things would be okay, they had to be.
The door to Kellin's room opened and I stopped pacing. His doctor stepped out and gave me a small smile.
"What's wrong? Is he okay?"
"I have good news, and bad news," He reported.
"Lay it on me."
"The good news is that your fiance is fine, the bad is that he has preeclampsia and now that he's awake, we need to induce labor and get your daughter out now. Or else neither of them will make it."
"But the baby isn't ready."
"Mr. Fuentes, if the baby isn't born now, neither she nor Kellin will survive this pregnancy. Our best hope is that we can put her in NICU and make sure she's taken care of there."
"Okay, okay."
"I've already discussed this with Kellin, would you like to speak to him first?"
"Yeah, please."
He nodded and stepped aside. I hurried into the room and smiled a little at Kellin who was sitting in the bed, hooked up to machines. He looked up when he saw me and glared.
"Get the fucking hospital chaplain or some nun or something now," he seethed.
"For what?"
"We're getting married, right now."
