Mother Nature's Wrath

The wind howls and slams itself
against the dark window pane
Trying to find its weakness
Trying to find a way inside.

Bursts of light illuminate the sky
So the forces can see
what progress they have made.
A rolling growl soon follows
She has discovered their efforts
have not been fruitful

The sky opens up in a burst
a deluge of water coming forth.
The wind grabs ahold of its newfound tool
And chucks the drops
against the rattling window pane
Hoping this new technique
Will have some merit

Eventually
Her anger is vetted
At least for tonight
Slowly, She moves her efforts
Away from the window
stowing her remaining anger
For another day.
