Sorry it's been ages. I went to Mexico and built a house for a family who didn't have a decent one. Check out the trip through Urban Saints or Amor Ministries.

"Ruby, time to get up."
"Hhhuuuuuuuggghhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."
"Ruby, come on."
"Hhhhhhhhuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzmmmmmmmmmmmuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnn"
"Ruby, up it's breakfast time."
"Whaaaa?"
"Ruby, get up or I'm going to tip cold water over you."
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh"
"I warned you."
Suddenly I'm cold, wet and very awake.
"HERMIONE!" I screeched.
"I did warn you," she said, grinning.
"What time is it?" I asked, drying myself and my bed with my wand.
"7.30. Breakfast is in half an hour and lessons at 9."
"7.30? I could have slept another 10 minutes!"
"Well, you're up now," she said, grinned then went off down to the common room.
Grumbling, I had a quick shower then pulled on my uniform. I ran a brush through my hair then grabbed my bag and went down the stairs to find Hermione. She was sitting on an arm chair with her nose in a book. I round behind her then jumped up and tipped some water over her head, yelling "Revenge!"
She screamed then glared at me.
"Now we're even, we can go get breakfast," I said then skipped off and climbed through he portrait hole. Hermione followed, half running to keep up with my skipping.
We reached the great hall and sat down at the Gryffindor table which was already covered in food. After a few minutes, Harry and Ron came and sat opposite us.
"You okay, Harry?" I asked because he seemed a bit down.
"Everyone keeps pointing at me and whispering and we got lost on the way down and ended up being shouted at by Filch for trying to get into the third floor corridor."
"Why were you trying to get into the third floor corridor?" asked Hermione.
"We didn't realise it was the third floor corridor," said Ron.
We shrugged and I turned back to Harry. "People only whisper and point because you're super famous. They'll get over it pretty quickly." He looked a little happier.
Just as we finished eating, Professor McGonagall, who was the head of Gryffindor house, came round handing out time tables. Me and Hermione compared them and were pleased to see they were identical. I looked over at Ron and Harry's, which were the same. I guess first years have every class with their house.
Pretty soon, we all found out how much work goes into learning magic. On Wednesdays at midnight, we had astronomy, which I quite liked. We did herbology in a greenhouse in the grounds with Professor Sprout. She was a dumpy witch with messy hair and dirty nails. I quite liked her, even if herbology was a bit boring. Herbology was no where near as boring as History of magic though. I had been looking forward to that lesson and was very disappointed. It was taught by Professor Binns, who was a ghost, who hadn't stopped teaching after he died. He droned on and on and on, making us all sleepy as we made notes of endless amounts of dates and names.
