---------------------

I completely forgot about Ruby's birthday, which is the 17th of October so I'm writing the bit with that here. It fits in just before Halloween so Harry and Ron aren't friends with Hermione yet.

-------------------------------

I woke up and dragged myself out of bed to get ready for class. I looked out of the window and it was a grey, rainy day. I looked around the dormitory and it was completely empty. Had Hermione let me sleep in? If she had and I'd missed breakfast, I was going to kill her.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!"

The shout was so loud that I screamed and jumped under my blankets again and Polaris, who had been curled up at the end of my bed, woke up and began hissing. I heard giggles and poked my head out to investigate. Hermione, Lavender and Parvati were standing there in their pyjamas, struggling to contain their giggles. My brain then started working and I realised what they had shouted.

"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!" I screamed, jumping out of bed. At that the girls stopped trying to contain their giggles. Hermione gave me an extra-big box of chocolate frogs and I gave her a big hug. Lavender and Parvati each gave me a bar of Honeydukes chocolate and  I gave them each a hug to because I was happy. We all rushed to get dressed after that and went down to breakfast. I ate lots of food, like always and got some Bertie Bots Every Flavour Beans from Ron and some more chocolate frogs from Harry. I was happy so I hugged them both too. Just as we were finishing breakfast, the mail arrived. I had a couple of owls land in front of me.

The Malfoys had sent me a little silver bracelet with a green stone in it. I guess they hadn't gotten over the fact I'm in Gryffindor. My Dad's cousin, Andromeda Tonks, who was my middle-namesake, and her husband, Ted, had sent me a pretty purple top with sequin flowers around the neck and sleeves and their daughter, Dora, had sent me some random brightly coloured nail varnishes. I also had a cheap birthday card and some cheap earings from the Evans family. Typical. I didn't even have pierced ears. Remus had bought me Polaris as a present so I just had a card from him. I was overall pretty happy.

I ate lots of sweets and was very hyper all day. I did share my sweets though, 'cause I'm nice like that and Hermione looked sad. I fell into bed at the end of the day and fell asleep smiling.

Here's the next chapter now :) comment pleeeeeeeease!!!!!

It was nearly Christmas and that made me HAPPYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! One morning in mid-December, I was happily in my  bed, dreaming (of llamas, rainbows, rubber ducks, etc.), when suddenly I was very cold and wet.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed. I looked around. Hermione was rolling around on the floor by my bed, in a fit of uncontrollable laughter. Parvati and Lavender, who were in the middle of getting ready, were also laughing. I looked down. Me and my bed were covered in cold, wet, white stuff.

"SNOW!!!" I shot up and ran to the window. The grounds were covered in several feet of snow. I could see where Hermione had scooped snow of the windowsill to throw at me. I scooped up some of my own and made a snowball. I threw it and it exploded in 'Mione's face, silencing her and wiping the smug look of her face and sending Parvati and Lavender into a new fit of laughter. I grinned evilly then grabbed my clothes and ran into the bathroom before Hermione could get over her shock.
