I go to take my machine I was hooked to outside on the ward.
The nurse sees me and smiles.
"What's up sweetie?" She says.
Her name was Carol.
She was a nice lady and she was my favourite nurse.
"Am I still allowed visitors?" I ask.
"Yeah, who's coming to visit you?" She asks typing something onto her computer.
"Jacob, Jacob Sartorius." I say to her leaning on the desk.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT OF BED!" Says someone behind me.
*UGH MENTALLY FACE PALM*
It was the nurse.
Her name was Susan.
All the nurses were scared of her, the cooks were scared of her, the cleaners were scared of her, the doctors were scared of her, the patients were scared of her, I wasn't scared of her.
What could she do to me.
Well, in school I was a bad ass, so what makes anyone think I won't be a bad ass in here to.
"I'm 13 turning 14 in 2 days, I'll go to bed when I want."
I crossing my arms, leaning on my side with sass.
"Get back in your room and stop disturbing other nurses and patients!" She speaks up, by doesn't yell.
She knows it doesn't work with me.
"No, you're the one who's yelling on a children's cancer ward!" I say back in her face.
"Spoilt brat, you didn't deserve that Jacob kid to come to see you." she spits in my face because of her missing teeth.
My blood starts to boil.
I've had it up to here with this nurse.
"Listen, you can't speak to me like this. Soon I'm gonna die, I've heard from other doctors. I've heard it from my mom. I don't think you know this but I'm a child still, I haven't lived my life, and I'm not going to. I'm going to be stuck in the hospital till the day I die which is very soon. And that 'Jacob kid', that was my death wish. So yeah, I think I did deserve it." I say back in her face.
She looked astonished.
I hook my machine with my hand and scoot myself back into my room.
I see multiple miss calls and unread texts from my good friend Jacob.
