When bad girl meets the mystery guy

Chapter - 7

"You will look gorgeous Lee. Your dress will look perfect on you. Come to my place and we will apply same make - up. Are you happy now?" I told her for the millionth time today. This girl is really irritating me now.

"I'm really conscious Kiara. I don't want to look ugly in your engagement.""You always look beautiful. You don't even need make - up"

"See that's why I was not asking you. You always tell the same thing. Anyways why didn't you invite Nitin."

"Umm! He can't come. You just hurry and reach the address which I have texted you. Don't be late." I changed the topic

"Kiara let's go. We have to leave now." Mom announced. She came and kissed my forehead. Mother always loves their children more than anyone else. We left by holding each other's hand. Her touch was making me feel better. I put my head on her lap for the entire journey and she didn't bulge for even a second. Maybe that's what we call love is.

When we reached our farmhouse I was really surprised. It was decorated so nicely that I couldn't believe my eyes. My father was not wrong when he said that he will make this function grand.I just hope the path which is destined for me don't bring more challenges for me. Please, God help me.

As my mom guided me towards the room I felt like I am traveling most difficult path of my life. Mom left as I need to get ready. I changed myself in the gown which Ashwin has selected for the occasion. Now put a fake smile to compliment the dress, perfect.

"O my God Kiara you look beautiful," Lee exclaimed while entering my room. I passed her smile.

"So are you. Now both of us will look same." She was wearing a yellow gown same as mine

"Where is your make - up artist?" I called them inside. I was waiting for Lee so that they could do make - up of both of us together.

"First do my hair. She is natural beauty. She doesn't need all this." They laughed on hearing Lee.

"We agree with you. She doesn't need it but Ashwin sir will definitely love the new look on her face." One of them winked. They made me smile on my worst day.

I walked towards the stage with a heavy heart. If mom wouldn't be holding me I would have fainted. My dad was smiling at me from the stage. How can he fake emotions so easily? Please God let the engagement ring vanish.

"Bring the engagement rings." Someone brings rings after my dad's announcement. My whole world shattered when that Ashwin slipped the ring in my finger. This ceremony was special for me and I always wanted to wear the ring from the person whom I loved. I don't remember when I slipped the ring on his finger or when my father declared us engaged forever or when hundreds of photographers snapped our pictures. I came to my senses only when Ashwin whispered near my neck"You are mine babe." He slipped his hand around my waist and dragged me to the dance floor. I matched my steps with him and cunningly smile. When the song end there was a round of applause from everyone. Everone wished us good luck for our future. I excused myself and joined Lee.

"Wow, Kiara this ring is really beautiful. Both of you were looking cute while dancing. I'm so happy for you." She hugged me.
