(A month later)

"I told you,he's not going to leave Terri's side Duane." I said as we walked to visit Terri and to check up on Leland.
Whenever I opened the door I found Leland sleeping holding onto Terri's hand. Finally the boy is sleeping,I turned around and quietly shutting the door."he's finally sleeping,he needs to catch up on some sleep. The kid hasn't slept in like three days."
"Anything we can do,so when she does come home?" I asked the doctor when we came in the next day.
"Make sure you have ramps for her to get in and out,make sure the house is workable for her to get around, make her feel independent. Her bedroom on the ground floor and make sure the bathroom is suitable for Terri to get into."

"Everyone misses you Terri, even the little kids were talking about you." I was listening to Beth talk to Terri. The doctor said its good to talk to someone in a coma
I looked down shocked at Terri's hand that was in mine," she just squeezed my hand Beth. Not hard but light enough for me to feel.
"Terri,do that again,I felt you squeezing my hand baby girl." I said as I leaned over to kiss her cheek.I felt her squeeze my hand again but a little harder,"she did it again Beth."
She went to get a nurse who came in and checked over Terri. After the nurse left I lifted Terri's bed a little more,"hey stranger." she said sounding a little off due to the breathing tube.
"Hey sweetie. Glad your ok." I replied gently squeezing her hand.
"I'm fine. Just felt like I woke up from a nap. The only thing is I can't feel my legs Leland what happened?"
"You were in a bike accident, you had surgery to put two rods in your back. Your paralyzed from the waist down."
"That explains a lot. I've been trying to move my feet but nothing."
"We can help you anything you need.Your a part of this family now Terri."Beth said gently putting her hand on Terri's shoulder.
