Over and Over // Luke hemmings

Chapter 5

Luke inviting me over to his house was weird after all we only really started talking today I mean moving a little too fast.

"Ok meet me at my locker after your physics class, I've got history." He explained.

I could finally get out of school, I waited at Luke's locker not being able to text as we didn't have each others numbers, not that I would be asking for it anytime soon.

I was leaning against the locker that I thought was his too busy on my phone to realise that someone had stood in front of me. As I was around 5"3' the figure towered over me. But it was pretty obvious to guess that the tall figure was Luke.

He smiled. "So are you ready to go?"

"Yeah I think so." I said returning the smile.

We walked out of school into the parking lot and up to Luke's car again, him running up to it opening it for me.

"So uh, why did you invite me to come over?" I questioned.

"Oh I thought we could do our English homework together."

"Luke, we didn't have English homework."

I saw him turn to the side possibly thinking of something else.

Luke's POV

What other reason would I invite her round for? I mean I only just started talking to her today but I want to know more about her. She doesn't really let herself show because she's so quiet.

"No, I'm pretty sure we had homework."

"Oh alright then." she laughed.

I pulled out of the parking lot, going up the path and through several little roads. It only took about 10 to 15 minutes to walk but I preferred driving.

We pulled up to my apartment and Julia seemed so fascinated.

"What is it?" I laughed.

"Oh nothing."

Julia's POV

Luke got out of the car came round to my side and opened it like he had done at the pizza place.

He walked in front and he led me up two flights of stairs. He stopped when at number 6. He took off one strap of his bag so he could have it in front of him to take out his key. He unlocked the door and motioned for me to come inside.

"Do you want me to take your bag." he laughed awkwardly.

"I thought we were going to do the English homework?"

"Oh yeah maybe there wasn't homework after all."

"Well what now, is there a point in me being here?"

"Well we could play video games or watch a movie or something."

"Depends what type of movies?"

"Well I have that one that girls like apparently The Notebook or something?"

I like the way Luke said that, like he'd never watched it before.

"Luke I bet you've watched it about a hundred times. Oh what video games do you have?"

"I have not! I have like grand theft auto and stuff like that, but you're probably not interested in that."

"Are you kidding I used to play gta with my brother all the time!"

"Well come on!" he said running down the hall.

He sat on the floor patting the ground next to him for me to sit down. He turned the Xbox on loading up the game.

"Wait we should probably get snacks." he said while getting up offering a hand to help me up.

We went into the kitchen and came back out with a "snack" so big we could feed a small family.

We sat down and started to play, Luke swaying side to side while playing obviously getting agitated that he wasn't very good at this game.

"So um who do you live with." I asked breaking the silence.

"Oh just me."

"Oh."

We were playing at Grand Theft Auto for a solid two hours. I checked the time and it was already six thirty.

"Oh my god I should probably go, its getting late."

"Oh I'll drive you home."

"No it's ok I'll walk I don't live that far away anyway."

"Well let me walk you please."

"Only if you really want to."

"I do."

I got my jacket and my bag and Luke and I proceeded to walk out the door. We walked down the stairs and into the night.

We walked for about ten minutes.

"Oh ok well that's my house." I said pointing to the house opposite me. "Oh and Luke about the English homework-"

"I know." he said while smirking, he turned around, brushing my hand as he did so. "goodnight Julia."

I watched him walk down the street so I couldn't see him anymore.

I walked into my own house straight up the stairs into my room and collapsed on my bed.

"Oh my God."
