Kut's POV

I awoke to something tugging on my hilt, I quickly exited the rock and turned to see a Pokémon grinning at me.

The Pokémon had a green stem-like body and a sunflower face.

"Hello there! I'm Sunny the Sunflora! Who are you?" Sunny asked me.

"I am Kut Tana. It is a pleasure to meet you master." I bowed to him, picking up my sheath with my cloth hand.

"Master? No my name is Sunny! I just told you that!" Sunny laughed.

"Yes I know that, but I will call you master as you freed me from the stone. I will gladly serve you in battle and assist you in other situations." I told him.

My father would be so proud to find out that I am carrying on his legacy. Just like I promised him.

"Ok then! Let's go back to my village! I can't wait for you to meet everyone!" He told me and he walked off, I followed him without hesitation.

After a little while of walking we reached a small village, a few clay houses in the shapes of domes were scattered in the area, a Lairon, two Aron, and a Tranquill were conversing in the middle of the village.

"Hello friends!" Sunny waved, running up to them. All of them groaned in annoyance when he approached, I wondered why.

"What did we tell you? We're not your friends! Will you just move out of the village!" The Lairon growled, he seemed quite rude.

"Don't be silly friends! I found a new friend! His name is Kut Tana!" Sunny introduced, motioning to me. The Pokémon all turned their attention to me.

"It is a pleasure to meet all of you. I am honored to be in your presence." I bowed, and the Lairon smirked.

"You seem like quite a sword. What'd you say your last name was again? Tana?" One of the Aron asked.

"Yes, I am Kut Tana. Father of Excala Bur Tana." I replied, proud to say my father's name, but also saddened.

"Wait, THE Excala Bur!?" The Tranquill asked in shock and I nodded.

"My my, what an honor to have the child of a famous hero here. But why are you hanging out with this idiot?" The Lairon asked me, I glared at him.

"I don't think he is stupid. I believe master is quite intelligent." I corrected.

"Aw, thanks Kut!" Sunny thanked.

"Why do you call him master?" The second Aron asked.

"Because he freed me from the stone, therefore he is worthy of wielding me and is my master." I explained.

"Please! He's not worthy of having a face! Much less having the son of a hero at his side!" The Lairon scoffed.

"Yeah, why waste your time with that fool? You should be on my side!" The Tranquill grunted.

"Neither of you are even close to being worthy, I remain loyal to master." I firmly told them.

"Thanks best friend!" Sunny beamed, but was suddenly impaled by the Lairon.

"Now he's dead. So you will be calling ME master!" The Lairon smirked, but something snapped inside me. First my father was killed and I couldn't do anything, not Sunny was killed. This time I COULD do something.

My blade began glowing blue and I dove under him and drove myself into his underbelly, impaling him.

"You killed him! You killed our big brother!" The one Aron screamed, and I chopped his head off.
