LITTLE MATE

**********Ronan's POV********

I screamed.

Immediately the tattooed arm tightened around my waist, as the man's large body was thrown on top of mine as if to protect me.

A feral growl rumbled through his chest warning others to stay away.

My heart was beating erratically. I could hear the machine beeping crazily to match my pulse.

The man gripped my waist firmer and pulled me into his chest, holding me close, as if I would fall through his hands.

As soon as my body collided with his I knew who it was.

My mate.

He was holding me! I felt overjoyed!

'He was with another woman!' My wolf shrieked at me.

My feelings from before came creeping into my mind as soon as she reminded me of the earlier events.

What happened, where even am I?

Ugh, I want him off me now. He doesn't get to hold me like I'm his when he belongs to another person. It's not right, and not fair to me, I can't handle it, literally.

I felt so betrayed when I saw him pull that woman away from me. Her, not me. How could he? We're mates!

"No." I faintly whispered. I tried to speak louder but I couldn't because I was so weak.

His grip only tightened around me, I guess he didn't hear.

"No." I said with a little more force this time.

Still nothing.

"A-alpha, no!" I yelled at him as loud as I could.

His head snapped to mine as soon as the words left my mouth. He looked...hurt? Is that even possible, how could he- wait.

He didn't look hurt anymore at all. In fact, the expression on his face said he was definitely pissed.

What does he have to be pissed about?!

Jerk.

"Alpha? That's the second time you've done that now." He growled at me.

What?! That's why he was angry? I thought that's what I was supposed to call him here.

"And....?" I asked prolonging the "d."

His face contorted into an ugly look of confusion.

"And?!" He roared. "Why did you stop calling me by my name? All of a sudden you switched to Alpha, and I don't like it. Why?"

Me, being me I only caught one part of his little speech.

"You didn't like it?" I questioned.

"Wha- I..I..that's not what," he stuttered then sighed and said, "No, I don't like it. I want you to call me by my name."

I decided to push my luck, plus I was still upset with him. Really, upset.

"But isn't Alpha another name for you?"

He narrowed his eyes at me, "Are you trying to piss me off?"

Didn't I say I was upset?

"Yes." I said smugly with a smile.

Another ferocious growl came from his clenched teeth, as he began to lean forward on me, in a menacing way.

I swallowed hard and shrank back into the bed, as I heard a door swing open.
