Chapter 14
FROSTBITE******Vlad's POV*******
I could feel her agitation as she stormed out the door. I just rolled my eyes in response.
She shouldn't have said what she said, I know she didn't mean it. My little mate loves me, I thought smugly.
'You know she would probably love us more if you weren't such an ass to her all the time,' my wolf reprimanded me.
'Go away. I've had a shitty day, I don't need you stressing me out even more then I already am.' I shot back at my wolf.
Obviously he understood, and retreated back into my mind.
Today had not been a good day. James was really getting on my nerves today. He kept annoying me with all his talk about how his son needs to find his mate.
I realize it's fucking important for his son to find a mate, and ASAP, so he can take over the throne, but still. These things take time, I should know. I've been around the royal line long enough to know that.
The king and queen had flown in today, from England, thinking that the reason for our immediate return home was because their lovely son, Blake, had found his mate. When that clearly wasn't the case, James started yelling at me, like I was just another petty wolf he could order around. Let's just say we both ended up shifting, and that the king and queen won't be leaving for a while until he can recover enough to leave the infirmary.
It's his own damn fault, king or not, he's known me long enough to realize I won't put up with his undermining shit.
'The royal bastard will learn his place. The throne is rightfully ours, yet we gave it to his blood line. How dare he try to put us beneath him! He got what he deserved.' My wolf snarled.
'Damn right he did.' I confirmed with him.
I downed the last of my scotch and got up to pour another glass. My stomach growled when I got up, that's when I remembered my little mate had just gone downstairs to find the pack dinning room for lunch. Shit! She's got to be lost by now, I forgot to send someone down with her.
'Ivan.' I mind linked one of the omegas.
'Y-yes Alpha,' he responded immediately, he sounded scared. Good.
'The new wolf, the one from America, she's trying to find the dinning room. She should be by the second east stairwell. Find her, and take her to the dinning room for lunch.' I ordered sternly.
'Yes Alpha.' Ivan replied.
Well, now that that's out of the way, I should get started on all the damn emails I need to write. Major part about being an alpha is all of the fucking paperwork. It's such a pain in the ass.
I groaned as I grabbed my laptop, and the bottle of scotch and headed for my office. When I walked in I could faintly smell my mate's scent.
There's no way she was in here, the door was locked. I must still smell her from the other room. I walked to my desk and set my laptop down, then turned to close the door. I can't stand being bothered. I went to reach for the handle only to find their wasn't one.
"The fuck?" I said out loud.
Why the fuck was someone in here?! I have a lot classified documents in here, that not even the royal family know about. Shit.
I could feel my body tense as the tremors started. My fists were clenched and quivering in pure anger. Whoever came in here and broke the damn door was going to pay. Especially, if they found something they definitely weren't supposed to. I'll kill them.
