Chapter 19
BEST FRIEND

***********Ronan's POV**********

I got off that accursed plane as soon as I could. Not to mention it was a 12 hour flight but the humans I had to deal with. Ugh!

The whole time I was wedged between two over weight men who apparently knew each other but didn't want to sit next to each other, leaving me for the middle. The guy on my right, and also the lucky holder of the isle seat, literally would not stop eating. I was still trying to comb countless pretzel crumbs out of my hair. All he would do was stuff his face, then talk over me to his buddy, stinky over there, and spit his food all over me in the process. It was so disgusting!

Oh but it gets better.

The guy on my left was dropping gas bombs like you wouldn't believe. I believe the phrase silent but deadly could definitely be applied there. The dude was seriously sick or had eaten something that did not set well with his stomach. I didn't want to be rude and yell at him for it cause I mean, let's be real. We all have those days. But honestly! It's like he had so sense of smell or something. I thought I was going to pass out from the man's butt fumes. Unfortunately I did not, and I had to endure the whole plane ride mushed between two men with a lot of extra skin, while bathing in skunk's perfume and having confetti crumbs explode into my hair every five minutes.

Not the best time of my life.

Regardless though, it was over. Thank the Lord!

I rushed into the busy atmosphere of the airport. There were people everywhere.

Crap.

Evan and I never really discussed a proper place to meet. Not only that, I haven't seen him in like two years. I bet he's changed a lot, he even told me he did on the phone. Not only that, I've changed a lot too. Would he even recognize me?

I didn't really know where to go so I figured I'd go stand on top of one of the bench's in the middle of the airport and hope that he either recognizes me standing, or miraculously I see him in the crowd.

I got to the bench and took my back pack off my back and set it on the floor. I put one foot on the base of the bench, and began to step up, but not before two large arms snaked around my waist.

"Going somewhere are we?" Evan said.

I turned in his embrace and practically jumped on him. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck and hugged him as tight as I could.

"Evan!!" I shrieked.

I was so happy so see him. I didn't realize how much I'd missed him till now. He was my best friend and I hadn't seen him in 2 years, how could I not?

"Hey baby, I missed you. Gosh, you've grown up a lot." Evan told me chuckling.

He set me down and looked me over, as I did the same to him. He hadn't been kidding on the phone. He now stood at a tall frame of 6'4, with a muscular build. Props to his beta genetics. He still had his smoldering brown eyes, and his perfect white teeth as usual. His smile has always stood out to me amongst all his other features. Evan is black, so it's not hard to miss his pearly whites whenever he smiles.

"I missed you too! And you weren't kidding when you said you changed. What have you been eating lately Evan, geez?!"

He laughed at me, and said, "Oh you know, the whole house as usual. It really ticks off my mom but whatever, you know she loves me."

I remembered his mom very well, she was such a lovely lady. I always admired her mannerisms and hospitality towards others.

"Anyway, we might as well get going. I live about an hour and a half away from here, and it's already dark so let's go." Evan told me.
