Laura rushed in slightly after Snape, her mind racing with what could have happened when she wasn't there. "Betrayal." she heard Snape say. She could hear the venom in his voice as she walked in, she could see his wand held at ready. "Snape, wait!" she shouted, rushing in farther. She was scared as she pulled out her wand, watching Snape's eyes go wide as he tried to dodge her blast. "Stupefy!" she cried, as Sirius and Remus moved away, allowing Snape's body to fly stiff into the rotting bed. "Petrificus Totalus." said Hermione, blasting Snape freezing him in the position Laura had thrown him in.
"What?" asked Luna, confused. "I listened in, everything he said fits, especially with the evidence given. To bad Wormtail escaped." said Laura, her voice shaky. "I believe you Sirius, your my god father and your innocent." said Harry "but I'm afraid yours, Luna's, Laura's, Hermione's, or even my word will help you against Dementors. They always do their job.". Sirius nodded "I know that Harry, which is why i must go." as Sirius finished his sentence, they heard a loud cry as Remus arched his back. "My dear friend! You didn't drink the potion!" shouted Sirius, as Remus screamed. "Go!" shouted Remus, his skin growing more pale than ever before.
"Fight it Messrs Moony!" screamed Sirius, running over to wrap his arms around the man in front of him. Pinning them tightly as Remus writhed in pain, pale pink ears sprouting from his head. Snape came running out of the tree, choosing the wrong time. He was panting as he looked at Harry and Hermione "Minus ten points from gryffindor for attacking a teacher." he said, his breath coming out in short, scared, gasp. After a few seconds of Snape's glaring, Remus let out a loud growl, stealing Snape's attention. As soon as the professor saw the threat, he jumped to shield Harry and the others. Blocking any hit directed at them. Remus was a light pink human/wolf creature. He didn't look safe and Harry knew he wasn't. Harry reached over and placed his forearm horizontally on Luna's stomach. She quietly shoved it away, pain evident in her shove. "No Harry. Don't move." she whispered. Her cold breath brushing his ear, it took his entire mind in order to not shiver. "Yeah." he said breathless. Hermione frowned at the creature and then Snape. "You knew. Didn't you, you knew!" she yelled shoving him. What they hadn't yet notice was Sirius had transformed into the wolf, he was watching Remus carefully. Ready to attack at the slightest growl.
Remus began to howl and that's when Sirius lunged. Harry wincing as the blood drew from the hip of the werewolf. Hermione screamed as the two began to fight, Luna let out a quite whimper. "No." said Harry, yanking out his wand. "Don't attack, Harry." Severus said, his pale face frowning, not enjoying the fight. "Snape, help them!" Harry shouted, but Snape only shook his head, his dark shaggy hair shining in the moon. "Let's go Luna." Whispered Harry. Only loud enough for the two to hear. They began to run, Snape reaching out to grab them both, but only successfully grabbing Luna. Harry began to turn around, but Luna waved her hand, ushering him farther. He smiled and ran on. "Luna! Stop him!" Hermione said, tears shining in her eyes. Luna only ignored her and watched him run.
"Sirius!" Harry shouted, finally reaching them as they fought at a cliffs edge, the sky a color Harry found unnerving. He heard a howl and Remus jerked up. "What?" Harry asked drawing his eyebrows together. He heard it again and Remus began to run, answering the howl. He looked at Snape and saw Hermione hiding behind him, her arms out to magnify the howl she was mimicking to save Harry, Sirius, and quite frankly herself. "Oh no." said Sirius looking at his arm, it was bleeding and looked like it was steaming. Snape rushed forward "I would let this bite kill you, possibly kill you myself, but I won't rob the dementors of the honor of killing Sirius Black." said the dark haired man, kneeling and placing an ointment on the wound and watching it heal. As Harry saw it heal he smiled and he, Hermione, and Luna raised their wands and fired. "Stupefy!" they chanted. All three beams joining together and almost sending Snape back to Hogwarts.
"Come on Sirius." harry said, helping him up and beginning to walk away. They reached a lake and Harry became weak, having to drop Sirius beside the lake. Suddenly the water began icing over, Harry began to look panicked and worried. "Oh no." breathed Harry, wincing as the dark smoky figures come into view. Hissing and flying in circles above the two tired and helpless people.Harry remembered the charm he'd been taught at school multiple times, but realized it required quite a bit of energy and focus, two impossible things. He crumpled to the floor and the swirling tornado of hissing Dementors advanced. They landed first beside Sirius then to Harry, both arching their back as their souls were sucked. Grunting in pain, Harry tries to pull Sirius away, only for a dementor to swoop down again, his vision blurring at the edges. In his deep sleep, Sirius would mutter things of small relation to the event. Things such as "Chocolate, Black, Flying." and so on. He would keep muttering these things. His sour dying breath tainting Harry's nose. He looked across the lake, only to see a dark shape standing, beside him is a girl, Harry couldn't help but think of Hermione, a pang of obvious heartbreak filled him. He would never say it but he missed her. Harry could tell time was running out, so as soon as he opened his mouth to say "Help" a bright figure erupted out of the mans wand. Harry could barely make it out, only able to say it was a deer. Not the gender. It was flying around, a glowing blue color. Driving the dementors back.
When Harry finally woke, Hermione and Luna were arguing by his bedside. "I'm his girlfriend, I'm aloud to be here." protested a angered Luna. Hermione glared at her "No SpitFire." she said, intending an insult "I'm his real girlfriend, he doesn't like you.". Harry could hardly hold back a laugh, but he wanted to hear more. "Really? Ask him? He's awake." Luna said, pointing at the white bed he was lying in. Harry, knowing his cover was blown, turned to her with a smile. Hermione, also knowing he heard her, began flapping her mouth, trying to find an excuse. "Fish out of water, want to talk?" Harry said, making fun of her gasping expression. She smiled and nodded, surprise flashing on Luna's face. "Luna, I care about you, really. But when I was dying... or lying on the ground doomed, I realized something. I may care about you, but I'm meant for Hermione, despite her attitude towards everyone associating with me." Harry said, as Luna let her eyes fill with glistening tears. "Your right, but I don't regret anything, Harry." she said. Harry nodded "Neither do I,Miss Lovegood." he said, his smile large. She fought it, but ended up smiling as well. Hermione rested her hand on Luna's arm "I'm glad he made you happy." she said, leaning on her arm. A red head entered the room, along with Neville. "Whats up Granger?" he said, she smiled. "Harry, this is Neville." she said and the pointed at the red head. "And this is Ron Weasely." She told him, a smile lighting her face.
