Chapter 1

Okay guys! Hope that kind of short introduction made sense! Any who, new characters don't come in just yet! ^·^

~Percy~

"PERCY!!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!"
I groaned and rolled over.
"5 minutes, " I murmured drowsily.
"Come on wake up! " a voice said, shaking my shoulders. I yawned as I rolled over.
"GET UP!" they yelled and I got tired.
"Not YET!" I shouted as a spray of water from my fountain was sent hurtling at the voice. The enemy yelped and I already knew that voice. I scrambled out of bed and threw on a Camp Half-Blood shirt and jeans as I sprinted out the door. As I ran for my life towards the beach, I knocked down Will Solace. He groaned as I rubbed my arms, already standing up and stumbling. He shot me a worried expression.
"You alright, Percy?" he asked.
"Not at all," I replied shaking my head. He frowned, getting up.
"What's wro-"
"PERSEUS JACKSON I WILL FIND YOU!!!!!"
I gulped.
"That! " I cried getting up, running towards the water. I jumped into the water as I heard Annabeth splash in after me. I grinned as I spun in the water to face a raging Annabeth, wading through the water. She stopped when she saw me smile, confused until she looked around us.
"Crud," she exclaimed as I summoned a whirl pool around her and brought get into my arms, pecking her on the cheek.
"I'm sorry that I sprayed you, I thought you were someone annoying like Jason or Leo, " I said, making the famous pout I'm known for. She threw her head back and laughed as I grinned.
"Okay! You're forgiven Seaweed Brain! Just get me down! " she shouted. I looked down and saw that I had summoned a geyser to push us up into the sky.
"Whoops, " I muttered, bringing us down onto the beach. Right when our feet touched the ground, Annabeth tackled me to the ground, holding her sword to my neck. She leaned down and looked me in the eye.
"If I had just been sprayed with water, I would've been fine with the apology, but you PUSHED me off the bed, IGNORING me, and you also RAN AWAY," she hissed threateningly. I grinned as I flipped her onto her back, pinning her down.
"Now you say sorr-" I started, but Annabeth wouldn't give up as she pushed me off and stood up going into battle stance. I winked at her as I uncapped Riptide. We began circling each other.
"You sure you wanna do this, Wise Girl! " I shouted. She stabbed at me as I dogged.
"Bring it on Kelp Head!" she yelled as she sprinted straight toward. Two wars and I was ready for her when she suddenly veered to her left. I parried her attacks over and over again. The clanging of our swords could be heard from far way, bringing a crowd towards our fight. Annabeth tried slashing at my right side, but I side stepped and slashed at her left arm, but she blocked it. We kept attacking and blocking till I knocked her sword out of her hand. I grinned triumphantly as I placed Riptide at her throat when a dark shadow in the corner caught my eye. I tilted my head to get a better look when suddenly Annabeth grabbed my arm and judo-flipped me. I groaned as I hit the floor, Riptide clanging to the ground next to me. Annabeth easily grabbed it off the floor, swinging it expertly as she smirked down at me, holding the sharp bronze blade to my throat.
"I think I win this time, " she said as the campers around cheered, Annabeth's cabin whooping as the Hermes cabin started paying in bets. I raised my hands up in surrender as Annabeth grinned, picking me off the floor. Shakily, I tried looking for the dark shadow that was the cause of my defeat when Clarisse suddenly barged in. She had an evil grin on her face and I swear I just wanted to punch it off.
"Nice play fight love birds, but looks like the person who is supposed to be smart forgot why she was supposed to wake up her doofus of a boyfriend."
I growled as Annabeth stepped forward.
"I may have been distracted, but I'll always be smarter than you and even if Percy is a doofus sometimes-"
"Hey!!!!!!"
"- he could still beat you in a fight. He's also done more than you'll ever do," she retorted. Clarisse huffed as she turned around and trudged her way up the field.
"Just get your butts to the Big House! " she yelled. I smirked in her direction, but I spun around to the direction of the shadow. Annabeth frowned at me and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Percy? Is something wrong?" she asked with a hint of worry in her voice. I shook my head as I looked and saw nothing there.
"I just...I just thought I had seen him. But it was just a shadow and yet..." I sighed.
"It gets to you doesn't it?" a voice asks behind us. We spun around and saw Jason starring off at the Athena Parthenos. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"Anything that reminds you of him: a shadow, a raven or crow, the color black. It makes you think he's there, but he's not, " he sighed. A stream of hot anger flowed through me. Why should Jason feel like any of us? He barely knew Nico! Yet he had been there when Nico decided to leave. He had actually been one of the three people Nico IMed, besides Hazel and Reyna, for the first three months Nico disappeared. To top it all off, Jason acted so depressed when Nico stopped calling. For crying out loud! Some of us didn't even get to stay goodbye to Nico! The fact that Nico trusted Jason more than Annabeth, me, or anyone else besides Reyna and Hazel was even more confusing. I've known Nico every since he was a cute 10 year old mythomagic geek, way longer than Jason's known him, yet Nico practically hated me while he and Jason became buddies in a few months. It all made my blood boil, but I sealed my answer and gripped Annabeth's hand.
"Yeah it really does," I said through my teeth, trying to agree with Jason. He nodded and looked at us.
"Chiron just sent me to remind you guys about him wanting a meeting at the mess hall," he said before walking towards the Big House. I looked down at Annabeth.
"This what you tried waking me up for? " She nodded as she held my hand. I smiled at her.
                        "Well let's go. "
