"Ah everything's fine over here, but gods! I'm really interested on how's it going for you guys!"

Annabeth Pov.

I frowned at the image. It was a boy about Nico's age, with caramel colored hair and deep purple eyes. He was pretty good looking with his slightly tanned skin and curly hair, but there was a mad tint to his eyes, like he could kill you in a second. The guy was wearing the cloak Nico and the others had shown up with, but the hood was thrown back, revealing all his features. Freckles dotted the area under his eyes as he smiled, showing a lopsided grin that made him look like he was hiked up on tons of sugar, more than Leo could ever handle. He was looking straight at the others, but his hands were fidgeting so wildly that he could've been more crazier than Leo.

"E-Everything's g-good," Nico stuttered as he glanced at us quickly before returning all his attention to the iris-message. I couldn't help the pang in my chest. Nico looked so different. After he mentioned that Artemis was his patron, his aviator jacket had disappeared and replaced with different clothes. He was now wearing black jeans that weren't baggy at all and a white V-neck that brought out a barely visible tan to Nico's shiny pale skin. He still wore those black leather gloves, but he had a casual black army jacket on that made him look taller for some reason. The interesting part was the quiver slung across his back. In all my life of knowing him since he was a small 10 year old, I had never seen him shoot an arrow, but know he was holding one like it was nothing. It was a beautiful silver quiver, that had bunches of silver arrows in side that were engraved with stygian iron markings. The bow was stygian iron, but had silver engravings all over it. He still had that silver chain on his side, but it now held his original sword, whose hilt was now strapped with silver and gold leather. What was on his wrists caught my eyes more. One wrist had a band of gold that looked like it was gathering the light and the shadows around it. On his other, there were two bands. Both were solid metal bands that looked like they weighed tons, but he looked fine. The one father down his wrist was completely black while the other was a bright, shining silver that stood out between the black leather gloves and wrist band.

"Yeah okay then," the guy replied. I bit my lip as I studied his face. He was looking at Kris like he was trying to send a message that I couldn't even read, yet I've been learning how to read people's expressions my whole life. I tried not to panic when I saw her face. She looked pale, as if she had seen a ghost, and if she was scared of anything then it would have to be huge. I still couldn't believe Helios was her patron, and Zeus. How could her give her his powers, even though she isn't his child?

"Well how's everything over there?' Kris asked quickly, fidgeting the ends of her jacket while she tried smiling up at the iris-message. The guy only laughed as he shook his head.

"Without you and Nico there, this place is in ruins!" he answered as he threw his hands in the air, "NO ONE can control the little ones like you two." At this Nico smiled as Kris laughed.

"Really now? If that's true, I'd expect you dead," she replied before adding lowly, "which I wish you were." Thalia grinned at this as Piper rolled her eyes.

"Just cause she hates one boy doesn't mean she's willing to join you guys," she pointed out, but Thalia just grinned.

"It's just the opposite my friend," she said, grinning wildly. I tried hiding my disappointment. Thalia and I were best friends, she was like a big sister to me, but after she joined the Hunters, we've been becoming distant. It wasn't really big at first, she had her duty to fulfill with the Hunters as their lieutenant, but then Percy disappeared. I'll admit, I was broken without him. It was like Hera had taken away a piece of me when he was gone. At that time, I needed people. I needed that person I traveled with when I was younger. Course, I was grateful to hear that she and the Hunters were looking for them, but I wanted her next to me. Helping me find him. Sally really helped me during that time, but after the war, Thalia decided that her brother was the number one in her life out of the Hunters. Jason is a good guy, but I was sad a bit. I knew that they had to catch up on a lot of stuff, since Jason had disappeared when he was younger, but I wanted her to hang out with us more. Not just come to us hand in hand with Jason, saying she had to leave already. But now, she was aweing over a random girl she wants to recruit, and I was seriously surprised that I hadn't snapped yet.
