I got downstairs and started talking to Karen. At first it seemed as if she could starting pouring the tears.
Then she told me what I never wanted to hear after the funeral anyway.
" Sophie honey Jenn and Geoff was your real parents. I wasn't able to have kids and they had you and Ally. You all are twins. they could barely afford Alky and Derek as it was and they said that I could raise you and Derek so I did and after Jenn died I decided it was time to tell you. I wasn't going to but Derek told me I better since they're both gone now. I'm so sorry for not telling you sooner Sophie. I understand if you hate me now."
"How could I hate you. yeah I'm mad that you didn't tell me sooner. but you raised me as your own and I will always call you mom. Did Ally know?"
"That's the thing. I need you to tell her because it was hard enough to tell Derek and you."
