Warning: Heavy swearing.
I shot out of the chair. Will couldn't leave that room. If the Masons- or even worst- if John found him, then I would be dead. Absolutely dead. They would probably ship my corpse back into the foster system. Oh, no. This cannot be happening.
"Oh, god. Okay, Will, just don't leave that room. I'll be there in a few minutes.", I told him hurriedly.
"What do you mean, Kendall? You just dumped me here? Screw you.", He barked into the phone.
Did. He. Just.
"Don't leave that room, William.", I retorted angrily, hanging up on him, a million thoughts buzzing through my mind. I had to leave. Now.
I walked over to Jack, tapping him on the shoulder. He turned around, his blue eyes meeting mine. I held back a sigh. Just because I had to leave, didn't mean I wanted to.
"I have to go. Text me how things go.", I told him, giving him a quick hug, not comfortable enough to kiss him in front of his mother.
He frowned. "Is everything okay?", He asked, examining my expression woriedly.
I nodded. "Yeah. Just curfew. I'll see you later.", I lied hurriedly.
"Okay. Bye Kendall.", He said, giving me an understanding smile.
I quickly said goodbye to Tabitha and Kate before disappearing out of the hospital, texting Charles to meet me outside the hospital. Charles arrived quickly, and I slid into the limousine without hesitation.
"Just home please.", I told Charles in a rushed tone.
"Yes, miss. Will do.", He replied politely, taking off toward the mansion. Luckily, Charles sensed that I was in a hurry, and he drove quicker than usual.
I sighed, closing my eyes and sinking into the leather seats. It was a long day, and it wasn't even over yet. I had a bad feeling about Will. Something had happened when he disappeared. And I still had no idea why he kept telling me that he was sorry when he showed up on my doorstep. I could only hope that Will didn't walk out of that room and run into one of the Mason's. In fact, I could only draw out a few good things about Will returning to Curmouth. One, being that he was alive, and two, being that Sophie would see her big brother again.
Which reminded me, I really needed to hand Sophie back over to the Farnsworth's sometime. I couldn't just keep their child. Oh, god. I hope I don't go to jail for kidnapping. No, Will would understand why I did what I did. It would be fine. Hopefully.
Once Charles pulled up to the Mansion, I launched myself into the house, sprinting down the corridor until I found that red door. The door where Will would be.
I turned the doorknob, and pushed it open, peering inside. He was there. I could make out a blonde figure sitting on the couch in the darkness of the room, his back facing me. Will was there. My lungs stopped functioning for a few seconds before I regained my composure.
"Will?", I said lightly, announcing my presence.
At the sound of my voice, he stood up, spinning around to face me. His eyes were the first thing I noticed when he turned around. The once electric green color was diminished, replaced with a dead, lifeless stare. I searched his face for any emotion, but I found nothing but his blank expression. What had happened while he was away?
"Will? Are you okay?", I asked him, walking toward him carefully.
"Why am I here, Kendall?", He asked blandly, his face remaining indecipherable.
"You don't remember anything?", I wondered aloud, raising my eyebrows.
"No. What happened?"
"You showed up on my doorstep, saying you were sorry about something. Are you okay, Will? You can tell me if something happened.", I tell him, lightly touching his arm.
