Hurt.....Again

Jace POV

I watch Alec walk up to his mother and start talking, but I couldn't hear what was said.

"Jace I think we should get out of here," Izzy said.

"Yeah good idea," I replied picking Savannah up.

Alec POV

"Mom we need to talk," I told her.

"If it's about your werewolf girlfriend I don't want to hear it," she said, "they were orders from Lydia."

After I heard that I started looking for Lydia. I found her at one of the screens and said, "hey we need to talk now."

I had her by the throat pinned against the wall. "Alec what are you doing?"

"My mother just told me about your orders to kill the Savannah and Magnus Bane," I yelled in her face.

"My orders were not to kill them but to hurt and arrest them if they came back to this Institute," she yelled back.

I looked at her angrier and screamed, "why!"

She yelped in response and then someone was pulling me off of her. It was my mom. "Mom what are you doing?"

"I'm trying to keep you from getting stripped of your runes and banished cause believe it or not I still care about you," she yelled at me. "I am trying to accept you and Savannah I really am, but it's hard."

After she said that my phone went off it was a text from Jace.
J- Savannah's not getting better and Magnus needs to talk to you
A- Alright I'm on my way
"Mom I'm sorry I yelled at you but I got to go. Magnus needs me," I told her and she nodded.

At Magnus' apartment

When I got there Magnus was crying into Jace's shoulder.

"Why is he crying," I asked.

Jace looked at me with sad eyes and said, "because he might not be able to save her this time."

I felt a tear run down my face, "what?"
